what is the orange blob in the middle east? persia from vanilla? update your game man. green persia is best persia. and look at dat catalunya... I can't force them to spawn for my guide and you get them casually
I'm actually not sure what nation that is... I never really look to the Middle East actually.
And I had to make Spain release Catalunya, Navarra, and Granada after they went to war with me and wanted to take Béarn.

i diploannexed Norway, which apparently had an army in america, in an unknown for me province. Not sure if I shouldn't post it in "bug reports" section though.
Will try to post a screenshot tonight but I've got a really weird one. Venad owns a province in China near Beijing. It only owns 2 provinces on the map.
As you can see here, ottos switched to orthodox, and better than this Denmark has a PU on Ottomans.

Yes bug it. If you diploannex and they have an army somewhere, you should at the least get to see the map how hey saw it. I was Mamluks, diploannexed Attuhaya (after a nice PU which allowed me to see the map as they saw it). Any armies on lands not seen by me, were immediately opened and shown.
I've been noticing a tendency for people to upload messed up screenshots from messed up mods. Whoopee-do, the mod you play doesn't work correctly or adds silly mechanics.
Most of the mods in that screenshot are visual, though. The only one that changes gameplay is a mapmod (correct me if I'm wrong?)
could be some extended timeline (say, 1356. Portugal under the house of Burgundy is historical 1139-1383) with a particularly unlucky Castile start. Nothing particularly shocking there.
They didn't start with a PU, my game started in 1340. Just because the timeline is longer doesn't change the chance for a random PU to happen. A personal union in 1362 is the same as one in 1800.
I thought the Eastern tech group was supposed to have a penalty to upgrading tech.
