well. I think we are seeing different colors, which is possible. To me, I see white white white, not a lick of green. And similarly to whoever thinks Tunisia is green.

Maybe I'm a racist
Well, on second thought it is a faint yellow (see the contrast to Austrian white in post #1612). It always looks slightly green compared to Castile, tho (and is unlikely to border anything else).
Tunisia isn't green(greenish brown/brownish olive). But Mecklenburg isn't green either (greenish blue, like Palatinate). Crimea would be the borderline case (bluish green). I think the guy asking for green countries should define the extents of what he considers green :p

Move capital to Palermo. Then selling some provinces to a vassal Navarra, until you are small enough to enter the HRE. Add Sardinia first, then Sicily, because it's adjacent to it and voila! - benefit from Imperial Integrity :)

So, you need to be very small to enter HRE?

Hmm.... but then, how do you enter the HRE?

On the province layout (when you click on a province) there is a button with an eagle on it. When you hover it it will show the requirements to join (usually be weaker than the emperor and having great relations) :)

Hmm.... but then, how do you enter the HRE?

Depends on your base tax and your relations with the emporer.. For example, at the beginning of the game, Poland can enter if it gets a relation of 190 with Austria. Meanwhile, Venice has high base tax provinces so theyd have to give one or two provinces to their vassals and then raise relations with Austria before joining.

mughals start with cores in timurids for some reason, and can be formed by any nation with that culture group (except persia I think).
but I see qing and manchu next to each other a lot. They never seem to have beijing though, it seems to be a glitch as forming qing should make manchu cores turn into qing cores.

manchurian rebels may have done that. hard to say.

Yeah and Mughals can form from rebels in the Khorsani part of Timmy.

It was probably nationalist rebels. Sometimes, even though the country you were no longer has any cores on the map, nationalist rebels can spawn as nationalists of your old country in any province you historically owned and cored as that old country and when they successfully siege a province they add a core of that country to the province.

Oirat Horde or Tibet or Manchus conquered Ming's provinces that did not border Ming anymore. They spawned nationalist rebels. The only tag thats remaining that doesnt exist is Qing.
I woulda think they would form Shun in that case since Shun would have cores there. If manchu formed Qing then there would only be Qing cores left in the Manchuria region, and nationalist rebels there can readd Manchu cores and form Manchu there.

Qing's there, looking like it has Liaoxi, Hebei, Kaifeng, Zhoujiakou, and Hefei (?) under its control.

No guys you dont get it. When you have a country of culture group A occupy a province of country of culture group B, the provinces of culture group B have to choose a rebel type that they would spawn (preferred rebel type). The highest priority in this case goes to nationalist rebels with patriots being second choice. Patriots should only spawn if the province neighbors a country of its own culture and there are no tags available for nationalist rebels (all tags of that culture in data base exist on map) or something like that, but usually the nationalists get the priority in most cases.

Otherwise if there is ANY TAG (thats not disabled, like Germany, HRE, Russia etc) that doesnt exist on the map, nationalist rebels will choose that TAG as preferred and rebel under it. I just checked and QNG is not a disabled tag. So what happened is someone who is not Chinese culture group conquered a Chinese province. Preferred rebel type happened to be nationalist rebels and QNG got chosen as the only available TAG to revolt. Thats the whole story.

Its got nothing to do with provinces being historically owned. Its merely related to how many TAGs of that specific primary culture (same culture as in province in question) are available in the data base (they exist on the list but do not exist on the map). Some TAGs are purposely disabled so that they would never get spawned - for example unification TAGs will only spawn if they exist on the map as cores (so effectively only if someone enacted unification decision). Otherwise youd see Germany, Russia, Italy etc occasionally pop up.

Okey, I think I had this bug a long time ago. I annexed nogai when it was a vasall of golden horde and then released it. Now it's a vassal of 2 countries, I wonder what will happen when I declare war, hmm :D

Ffp72eo.jpg

Edit: I declared war on Golden Horde and Nogai joined me, and they are now only my vasall.
