So he's dead, but very much alive? Interesting.. ;)

So, as I see a -9 opinion, the suggestion panel will give you in like 20 years the suggestion to "sway King Louis" cause he has a low opinion of you... while being daed (and alive) for 20 years
;)

Hi,

Yes I too have seen this bug before several times. It seems the Increase Opinion box does not update properly, and seems to target random people who may already be dead. It should definitely be looked at for fixing.

Speaking about walking dead...

Let me introduce to you that poor dude, Basileus Pavlos.

Playing an awesome Zoroastrian Sassanid dynasty revival, the Byzantine Empire had to be my natural Nemesis. And I confess I was responsible for the assassination of Pavlos's grandfather and father - just wanted to create some inner trouble in that Empire so that war would come easier. But when Pavlos ascended the throne he was only 1 year old and I felt pity for him. His scaly skin. His loneliness - although he considered wise, when he was 16, to marry a 40 year old woman with scaly skin, and they managed to have a son... with scaly skin of course (obviously he was trying to start some kind of mermaid bloodline). But that son died in a stupid battle, and his only heir was his sister who was like 30 years older than him (but with normal skin though).

So, I was considering a new war against Byzantium, something big like invasion of an entire kingdom, or holy war. I checked to see how he was doing (in case he was doing "too well" I was ready to plot a murder against him). But that's when I saw his son was dead... and he had got bubonic plague. Just watching him, he looked like he was already dead but wasn't aware of it. I let him in peace then. He died only 2 days after that screenshot anyway.

My inbred "Blood-Father" tyrant (side note, apparently "inbred" isn't checked as a negative cogenital trait) whom I was ready to skip a generation for to inherit as the young, perfect son, but he is too stubborn to die of stress (even after I broke the 300/300 cap twice) and no vassals seem to want to form a faction powerful enough against him.

I guess its time to form Slavia as the inbred emperor!

I believe you should be able to force abdication on yourself by inciting a tyranny war by attempting to unlawfully revoke a title from a vassal who won't accept the demand and then immediately surrendering.

Ya but tyranny approach would induce negative opinion of predecessor and the father had 3 simultaneous revolts that lasted 20+ years and made him living legend before it was settled, I was a bit civil warred-out. I end up surviving through the inbred child and perfect grandchild without any rebellions.

Inbred is clearly negative though, since it kind of cancels all your positive traits combined. Your character should have much better stats, his positive traits hardly manage to make him a "normal" guy.

Inbred is considered a negative physical trait by the game, it just doesn't consider it congenital. I'm guessing the reason would be this:
Imagine 2 married inbred which are not from the same family.
If the trait was congenital, their children would basically be guaranteed to be inbred anyway. But with the current system, it's pretty easy to no longer have inbreds as soon as you stop the inbreeding.

Is it realistic? Hell if I know, certainly don't care. It's convenient though.

It's kinda similar for pure-blooded too, it's a good physical trait, but not congenital. Though if both parents have the trait, there's still a 75% chance their children will have it too, even if the parents are not related at all. Probably because that trait doesn't do much, unlike inbred.
