Please tell me this Nubia is your doing.
It is. I wanted to create trade republic on Indian Ocean and the only tribals available on that side of Suez were Nubian. As it comes to Sweden the only thing I can do to set things right is win this Jihad and then grant the kingdom to some Norse Germanic adventurer and give him independence :)

Now - this. Look at my second wife in her self-contradictory ambivalent nature. She supports my decision yet at the same time she's against it.

Good, I was already worried that for whatever reason Nubia inherited Greece and Sicily.

From the same game I posted about earlier:

I honestly have no idea what happened. The rest of his family, including his sons, are Italian Catholics. All I know is that first he was granted Tjust by the King of Sweden, then he inherited Genoa, then his German Catholic wife died and he married the daughter of the af Munso Jarl of Svíþjóð. Late, Genoa got invaded in a holy war, the rebellion failed, and, as of this writing, he is imprisoned by the Swedish king.

EDIT: Iesus Christus! This game just gets weirder and weirder.

I present you: the Jewish child king of Lotharingia. All of his family members are Christians, and his current guardian is a Dutch Catholic. He must have had a Jewish educator in the past.

My guess is he converted to his spouse religion.

Second image is thoroughly in the "lolwut" category.

Second image is thoroughly in the "lolwut" category.
His first wife (a German Catholic) died over fifteen years after he became chief of Tjust, so that wouldn't fully explain all the oddities.

King Payen unfortunately died under "suspicious circumstances." Requiescat in pace.

I have also noticed an absurd amount of other absurdities in my game (which is ironman, so no mods or cheating involved), so I'm just going to put them under spoilers to avoid taking up too much space on the thread.

First, kind-of-funny miscellaneous stuff.
EA623A91446E4751AB41B8238B2069F2D52153AE

This family is really down on its luck nickname-wise.
06758732C08ED25C732637E56685A8C129E84C80

I can think of no better name for a person that died of a venereal disease than "Pope Innocent."
B54B57D8183DF1A53391B3472D4C26CD3E9F6CF0

And the current most ambitious dynasty in Europe is... House Inga, rulers of Navarra, Lotharingia, and Mercia. Not my first guess.

I also found a triumvirate (triumfeminate?) of powerful old women who, based on their attributes, will probably not be remembered as feminist icons.
0CF0129EAEAC29D0F089098625D37BF15618E061

Monniabdomna "the Careless," a cynical, arbitrary, drunken, lying seductress, but also a shy, intelligent woman with martial prowess, few personal political ambitions, and sympathy for Judaism. She was queen for over fifty years, dealing with dissatisfied vassals and facing the unstoppable threat from the south, all while joining a historic union with the Kingdom of Wessex. All of her achievements eventually turned out for naught, as her malcontent vassals forced her to step down in favor of a dull coward. She died insignificant, her two counties leaving the realm that once belonged to her as they were inherited by her English grandson. Now the kingdom of Austurias is just three, non-contiguous counties in the middle of the Andalusian empire. Someone should make an HBO show about this.
E7A9F9E7CA7AB42B0E9B712CFA52E3CE61764C00

Kraka "the Cruel," she inherited the Duchy of Holland from her father (after both her only brother and her older sister died under "suspicious circumstances"), and, when the Danish king was losing his foolish war to subjugate Sweden, she subjugated him. She later tried to launch a prepared invasion of Scotland, but was losing heavily at the time of her death. However, this means she ultimately gets the last laugh, as she is now eternally 69 and the failure to invade Scotland will be her son's legacy rather than her own.
EE473A36EE3CE72ED5273FC18A717A630415F6B1

Beornflaed "the Cruel," not really much to say here. But she was a ruthless Englishwoman who reigned for what seems like forever, so [insert Margaret Thatcher joke here].

Finally, a strange narrative that occurred and which I just happened to find interesting.
Meet Yahya "the Lionheart," a brilliant strategist, bastard, genius duke of a single province (who I just noticed is also homosexual, adding another layer of hilarity to this whole thing).
A26FE338E20FC4502378FBD755CF33A82E50CFCA

I thought this was kind of cool and so I married my daughter Samira to him, then a Ethiopian princess named Negasi who was just sitting around in my court. It turns out that both Samira and Negasi were lesbians, and they became lovers. Thus, I was extremely surprised when a Shakespearean tragedy struck.
C7B13273A735248F0DEF201719D392D2D7B74FD7

Had their love soured? Was it because their sons were rival heirs to the emirate? tbh idk. I know there's a Thelma and Louise based event chain that occurs if a Muslim man has two wives who are lovers, maybe it had to do with that. Anyway, Yahya imprisoned Samira and then released her, all while I largely forgot about the incident. Later, I decided to marry another Ethiopian princess, named Teru (I had an excess of Ethiopian princess at my court, it's a long story), to Yahya because my court size was way too large and I couldn't think of what else to do with her. I didn't know this at the time, but she was also gay, and I didn't pay any attention to the Yahyids until I was informed Samira had been executed. Naturally, I checked what had happened and:

556709C6F6BB45AA6AEAE4E0BE0AD166BF369184

Wow. I guess the whole Thelma and Louise event chain played out? Forget Monniadomna, someone should make an HBO show about this.

Well, I don't have a picture to support this, but I was paying a game as the Byzantines where the Abbasid Empire took over all of the Middle East and parts of India and had >92% threat and around 50k soldiers. Their leader declared another offensive war and ended up fighting the remained of Asia and getting their armies destroyed. Then several revolts broke out and a bunch of other wars were declared. They lost all but around 10k soldiers, entire Persian Empire, Jerusalem, Tip of Arabian Peninsula, and all their gold, as well as a new leader gaining control.

Less of a weird screenshot, more interesting. Rise of the Saminds... from the 769 start, where there is only one of them landed as a count with one province.
aZFfC6G.jpg

Shortly after this screenshot they formed the kingdom
O1l9bMj.jpg

They have had to contend with nomads, Turkish Hindus who settled down, Afghan Buddhists, and more, and they're still going strong. Even though I'm right next to them I actually haven't messed with their progress much at all, I only briefly fought one war with the Turkish people who controlled this region originally. Their growth has been incredibly quick recently, they went from a four province duchy to a decent sized kingdom in just 40ish years.

Spotted this beautiful unicorn when he was 13 years old while searching for a husband for my daughter. Laughed for like a year, then matri-betrothed the two. I'm not exactly sure how he came to exist (where's his Mother?), but check out their newborn son! Going to have some strange looking Rajas down the line. :D

Was the father insane? I think the insanity event where you seduce a rosebush can result in an irish-ethnicity child.

...That was a very odd sentence.

When your portrait and culture don't match...
I think there's an event where, if you are leading an army in a province, a woman will claim to be the mother of your bastard and you can adopt it, in which case it is the same ethnicity as whatever province it was born in. But that would mean an Indian guy was campaigning in Celtic lands...

Was the father insane? I think the insanity event where you seduce a rosebush can result in an irish-ethnicity child.

...That was a very odd sentence.
The child's mother is a Hellenic Pagan Irish serving the Papacy instead of copying from the father for some reason.

…and if I read it correctly, a lesbian can be impregnated by the maid she seduced?
