More random ludolfinger stuff The first Erik the heathen happened a little early and lost 4 kids to rabble, what does that mean?
I dont know what the de potiou family did but they seemed to all end much the same way.
And last the welsh forming England and purging Britain of the heathens. For a while it looked like someone of Wessex would form it but a faction revolt and cathar uprising split them in 3 and allowed the welsh the last bits to get 51%

I just love the Celtic localizations for British realms. Alba, Albion, Avalon, Britannia, and so much more. Maybe Welsh game next

I've had that happen to me as well. It seems to happen when you really don't like him and/or are part of a faction, so they grant your rule over this "duchy" to appease you. Little do they know it makes the player more likely to revolt...

I've seen Charlemagne become a heretic twice, it has become really common now for some reason.

Charlie going heretic isn't that rare in my small sample size of Charlie starts (hate them) asturias always gets steamrolled losing 13 MA in the first war if unlucky then with all the crap castles/bishoprics the viking go nuts raiding add in the theology focus and less Karl the great more Karl the heathen.
Lombardy usually goes heretic in my games. The only time the HRE was formed was due to a crusade for Lombardy. West Francia got it, and formed the HRE. It was quickly destroyed by Gavelkind.
