Queen has king as lover, but he hasn't her as lover, but a courtier (IIRC he was a husband of Oysteinns sister)
And when he went dead, the queen still loves the king, but he doesn't love her)

Got some interesting pics from my finished ironman Karling game, I saw for the first time the chronicle events in years nothing much happened, some floods, bountiful harvests and this.They repeat a bit, but funny touch nevertheless.
It was a fun game, the Golden Horde managed to get most of the de jure Empire of Tartaria, then disintegrated but left a lot of independent Mongol rulers, including this Volga Bulgaria that for some reason converted into Slavic. Both Golden Horde and the Ilkhanate went Sunni.
Byzies fought the Abassids for the entire game, and despite having them across the Bosporus and in their backyard in Bulgaria kept fighting for a single county far away...

The Byzantines really have a strange obsession with Persia. In one of my games they conquered all the way to Khiva(!) while leaving Antioch in Abbasid hands...

Agreed. It's extremely annoying. Alania, Azebaijan, and Mesopotamia all seem much more heavily weighed for the Byzantines than Antioch, Jerusalem, or even Anatolia. There's been a load of complaints about this, in several threads devoted to the issue... I just hope the developers have taken notice.
Here's another example - which made me drop an otherwise enjoyable playthrough and destroy that Ironman save. It was from the Alexiad start, so please note that Byzantium has not lost the intervening areas (though Kartli has gained independence for some reason): it's just gone straight to the route Kartli-Armenia-Chaldaea-Azebaijan-Tabriz. And I hate it.

How I have no idea but It happened. Suffice to say I left that Catastrophe waiting to happen and formed my own empire.
They also have an obsession with Persia even when the Catholics came in and Crusaded half the holy land away. Byzantines just let the Arabian Empire gobble it all back up for free and colonized Persia.
Also Homosexual Genius Warrior Pope with lovers Pox. My dynasty is coincidental, cant keep track of them all. Wonder what he'll do with his time as the Holy Father.

Alfr Hjalmarsson didn't actually rule for 222 years. He was some distant relative who I ended up playing as after I lost all my titles (the duchy of Brittany at the time) in a single holy war. Apparently this made all the rulers before him disappear from the game over screen.

That happened in one of my games too. Funny thing is, that he actually held the byz territory until endgame, for about 400 years. While usually AI Byzantine almost always gets raped by Abbasid blob.
This is why we won't be allowed to play theocracies; they just get stuff done!
