A bunch of screenshots over a couple of long games:
A rather unconventional king of Africa... (adventurer shenanigans, obviously)
The Samanid duke of Hamadan (same dynasty that rules Khiva at the beginning, I think) somehow converted to Orthodoxy (The Illkhanate's not Orthodox). I think it might have to do with his mother.
Cumans converted to Hinduism (a claimant ended up in India, converted, then returned to Cumania as an adventurer).
It seems the Umayyads have reclaimed the caliphate.
Some Bretons decided to invade and settle in Brunswick.
Jews in Songhai?
Well, that's quite a disintegration.
That's a pretty culturally diverse Africa. (And yes, Ethiopia did go and conquer Egypt.)
Luxembourg somehow became Basque...
Look who Dyre's grandson got deposed in favour of.
The entire family of the Duke of Gascogne died out, so it got inherited by the Sheikh of Kunka. (They're actually related in-game, they're both descended from one of the Kings of Navarra or something a long way back.)
So the (Karling) King of Burgundy somehow ended up with only Geneve in his entire realm. It was like this for almost a century, and 200 years later they still only hold the county of Geneve. Kind of reminds you of the de Geneve snippet in the game over screen...
Isle of Man somehow went Orthodox.
Bretons in Aquitaine and Danes in France. Sadly both were eventually deposed by Frankish Karlings.
A Lappish Karling King of France...?
The Karen converted and got vassalized by the Samanids. 150 years later, they rule Khiva...
A Bedouin King of Portugal from a Scottish family that ruled at various times Aquitaine, Leon, and Castille. His descendants became Portuguese, though.
A papal bastard actually became pope himself. They also have the same papal name.
The King of Denmark called me into a war pressing a princess's claim on Germany. Only after the war ended did I realize that the Karling king of Denmark was pressing my sister's claim on the Karling kingdom of Germany. She's married to the heir of Denmark, but that's her second marriage and Germany will eventually get inherited by the king of Italy instead. At least the Rurikids will rule Germany for one generation...
