Naaah, that definitely wouldn't have worked in the CK2 timeframe... (not that today it would, btw - countries are no less warmongering than then...)

Yeah, that's a feature of Jewish councilors if you have Sons of Abraham.
I found it more interesting because my mother (who is a normal Khazar by birth) got the event.
She's also Jewish though, culture has nothing to do with it. She's a Jewish Spymaster, a faith with few realms, ofc she'll keep in touch with other Jewish bigwigs.
It's only 52 years into the game, but Cumania (Havuksingila dynasty, unfortunately converted to Cuman, I like countries not having their default culture) already controls what feels like a third of the map (sure, the steppe has big provinces, but...), has reformed Tengri and I'm sitting right at their border, maimed, over 50, still without a nickname (even if it's for my arbitrary trait, give me a nickname already!) after 15 years as independant Grand Prince of Kiev and 12 more as first and so far greatest king of Ruthenia (and some years as a count subjugating independant counts, my character's father died the single county count he started as), awaiting a succession crisis, slowly chewing away my Lithuanian and Bulgarian neighbors while Cumania spams Invasions and Hungary still has 30k troops. I'm scared. I can probably reform Slavic within ~15 years (die, subjugate Rus, conquer Birlad in the meantime, would do it now if I wasn't an ally in a war with Bulgaria as an ally on the other side) but the horde will get me... Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they invade Persia next and form the Persian empire before Slavic is reformed. Or Mordvins->Tartaria, of course, but I expect better than that.

I think Marrakech itself has to fall and it seems he failed, luckily for him, to capture it. I am however not sure about this so I can easily be wrong

EDIT: He just took Marrakech.
Jihid was for Armenia against the Byzantines.
Also some people have decided to migrate southward.
And the Old Gods start manages to produce yet another quirky result.

I think Satan is training a army for a lord I have had semi-regular wars with for two generations. This might not end well.
he's actually not, you'd see "heir to the byznatine empire" when hovering your mouse on his portrait, if he was the heir

Still, getting a portion of the family with a Strong Claim to the Empire can't be a bad thing. Also, a lot can happen in ten years. Snakes in bed, explosive inns, bad wine...
