When you're Joan d'Arc in another form, it isn't quite as presumptuous. She's a result of the Maid questline.

Is it possible to continue her dynasty? I admit it's the only name which I'd feel comfortable doing a WC with.
Might not be the strangest image around, but has anyone had the Norse faith reform this late? I have not intervened into this area besides just neglecting it as I slowly expanded as Italy.

Denmark was launching a prepared invasion of Frisia, which some how also gave them control of Northern Germany. Ironically (or maybe appropriately) enough, the reformer had the title priest-hater.

The Emperor probably moved the capital of the HRE to that enclave out of spite.
It's also interesting how Denmark resisted christianization while Sweden didn't. It's also weird that they didn't get crusaded into oblivion, but Catholic moral authority must be really low, with that Sunni Iberia and the Orthodox blob...
Sisters hit legal age, so it was time to go hunting for some new grounds for the family to take root in. Nobody in the immediate neighborhood worthwhile to marry onto, so obviously I just go into the "Arrange Marriage" screen.

Heir of the Byzantine Empire would accept a Matrilineal Betrothal to a Mastermind Theologian from the edge of the world. If this goes through (Ten years is a long wait, after all), we're looking at the chance for my family - which owns Ireland pretty much wholesale (Only Ossory and Ulster escaped our clutches for being intelligent enough to Vassalize...well and Tyrone, for marrying matrilineally into the family) - to become the newest ruling family of the Byzantine Empire.
...this save just got interesting again.

Crusades just activated a couple years before. The first crusade is currently ongoing in Jerusalem.
