Happened to me too! I'm ruling one of the smaller Indian duchies early in an Old Gods game, and this Norse woman shows up in the court together with a child of hers.
The wierd thing in mine was that there were no other d'Este dynasty members! I don't really know how this happened.
That's nothing strange, everytime a person with new dynasty appears, there's a little chance that it would create a dynasty, that doesn't exist in your game yet, but was very successful in real life, thus it was given a CoA. Once, in my England game, I've created a Republic of Cornwall and there appeared a Plantagenet patrician family.

Ignore my cheating, I was just having fun around, the plot, however, was against the Ummayad Sultan, and when I assassinated him, the plot had already triggered, and this event happened to me. I think it is funny just that the guy is named Ma'n Man.

Weird I want to guess she was catholic when they got married and then she became sunni during a conversion event. Strange how he has not forced her to reconvert back to Catholic.
As for that child.. I would try to capture him and kill him before he turns the knife on your side of the family. At his age he should be fairly easy to kill unless of course he knows the tricks of the trade and then you wind up getting killed

The most likely explanation is that she was a Muslim in the court of a Christian. They can marry in that case, as "must not marry an infidel" only counts if the liege is of different religion (which leads to stupid results like Catholics being unable to marry Catholics).
Really because as soon as I have a Muslim in my christian court.. I get a event to burn that person at the stake because they are a heretic ( i had it happened to me, Muslim woman burned at the stake because she was muslim and my court chaplain freaked out since they were in my court). I guess maybe the AI does not use those events to kill those not of their relgion. Eh you have a good point and more than likely than what I suggested lol

Shattered Perm maps are becoming classic, especially if you consider that Bjarmia is a form of it too.
What's even more interesting to see are the three Magyar tribes - Don Magyars, Ural Magyars and Siberian Magyars... Good luck to them forming Icelandic and Abyssinian tribes too.
