Not strange per se... but infuriating. A german Karling on the ERE throne.
And instead of becoming a greek orthodox, now all the ERE (including Italy, Bavaria and the original Byzantine empire) is Catholic and German.
And this consolidated the Karling power on Europe. West Francia has been West Francia for centuries, England saw a couple of Karlings on the throne too, Anatolia was later gained on a crusade and is ruled by anglo-saxon Karlings.
The only place without Karlings is Iberia and, somehow, Aquitaine.

~snort~ Not hardly. You'd definitely need to remove kind and chaste has to be lustful, Tyrion never struck me as particularly generous either. And definitely not temperate. And that military skill is waaaay too high. Elusive Shadow is totally spot on though.

I think we can all agree that she had it coming.
Have one in the game I'm playing now. An early (pre-1000) crusade conquered Andalucía, led by the Petty King of Essex. Succeeded in Christianizing the whole place, and turning about half anglo-saxon. Eventually lost out to a national liberation revolt, who installed an Andalusian culture King as Sultan. By the 12th century, said sultanate proceeded to expand to the point of occupying almost all of formerly-Muslim spain (Knights of Calatrava got Aragon and Jerusalem both, and Portugal is holding on to some atlantic seaboard) and making inroads into Morrocco. Does it still count as Reconquista at that point?
