All the Green are Islamic nations. There are a bunch more Islamic nations (like Bukhal and Syria). This picture only shows the ones in a defensive pact against me.

The AI entirely did this. I have been catholic the entire game and actively fighting against the Muslims. I will go over a brief history of how this happened:
1: The Nomadic Tengri kingdom of Bukhal, which used to rule over Bulgaria, successfully toppled the Empire of Byzantium. The ruler then settled in Byzantium, creating a large Tengri Byzantine empire.
2: a Jihad got called against Tengri Byzantium, and the ruler converted to Islam. A while later, a jihad on Bulgaria was undertaken, which also resulted in a conversion.
3: a child of Destiny was born in Muslim Pommerania by the name of Abdul-Qadir. He launched a 20-year campaign that wiped out every Christian nation east of the Holy Roman Empire (currently called Aquitaine). by the end of it, he had one leg, one eye and one hand.

If you put one on each hand and make them talk like puppets, how much penance will you have to do to stay out of Hell?

"For your service to the Holy Mother Church, I award you the foreskin of our Lord and Savior."

"I am very grateful your Holiness, but I already have one given by your predecessor."

"Oh... *tosses it in the fire* ...never mind then."

So what's the deal with all the Catholic one-eyed adventuring celibate genius mastermind theologian faithful servants??

Do these guys come from some kind of event similar to the traveling merchant that leaves behind a eunuch?

What oddly specific traits. Some decent advisors in there though.

My immediate guess is generated court physicians. Do you have Reaper's Due?

I do. :) I think I might pay for my next court physician. Right now it's my genius Chancellor/Heir/Designated Regent and that is a LOT of trust to put into a guy who gets the throne when I die.

[edit] Now that I think about it I started this game before I bought the DLC. Maybe that has something to do with it.

No holder, but there is income and expenditure.
Oh yeah, that's weird. I wonder if it just saves the data that was current at the time of destruction when a title is destroyed?

I was just starting up a continuation of my King Konan of Brittany campaign. It has been sometime since I played and I reviewed the characters to remember what was going on. I had totally forgotten that my King Konan "The Lecher" lived up to his name...26 children by 20 mothers. I think that is my personal best. His successor was the oldest legitimized bastard, Rodoald "The Chaste."
