Actually, his name is Çat. Pronounced "sat", if they pronounce the ç anything like French.I never personally see someone name Cat. Yes the person is called Cat
Ç in Modern Turkish is pronounced like 'ch' in 'chip'. So the name would be pronounced 'Chat'.

There's very little known about Khazar language, other than that it's assumed to have been Turkic. So it's not like there's an actual Khazar spelling to rely on. I'm not deep into the history of Turkic cultures but it seems to be common practice to use Modern Turkish spelling for the names of various historical Turkic cultures.

"Martel" sounds like "martèle" in French, which comes from "marteler", using a hammer.

I'm playing for little Gotland, and as a Norse OPM I was happily raiding along Europe's coastline when I noticed that Francia was doing pretty well. They had gotten basically France, big parts of Germany, the Alps and Italy:
Bet then I looked closer, and noticed something strange: the capital wasn't in Paris, but in Rennes. And that the flag looked strange and had a strange shape. And then I saw that the leader of Francia was Khagan Kundaçiq 'the Mutilator' of Francia:

How the hell did a Christian priest get it? Did he inherit it? Raid it off of someone's holding during a war? Create it when he was still pagan? Get it as a gift?
Don't know, he wasn't a convert, so I suppose he inherited it from he predecessor.
