This year all that happends is that we recruit 1000 new men and send 1 merchant to keep the monopoly in Mecklenburg.

We bulid up with 1000 men and send one merchant.
In July our alliance ends, but we recive a letter from Portugal a couple of days later:

To my dear friends of the Hanseatic Leauge!
I the noble king of Porugal have been told by my amabassador in Mecklenburg, your noble city, taht your alliance has endet.
Since I have strong feelings and a close connection to the Hanseatic League I therefore think that it is to bad that you should stay without an alliance.
I offer you to enter my glorius, stronge and noble alliance witch consist of Portugal and Aden. I have also send a letter inviting your noble friends in Pommern to the allaince as well. I would hate for freinds of the hanseatic League to stand undefendet as well and I therefore hope that both of you will accept my offer.

We of course accept the offer and one month later Pommern accept as well. No the alliance consist of Portugal, Pommern, Aden and us.
In August it is an other happy day for us since we have reached land tech 6.
This year has been a good for us and the future looks bright.

We started the year as usuall be building up our army and our monopoly in Mecklenburg.
in february Portugal accepted to trade maps with us, then we got to see even more parts of the world.
In december our foreign adviser told us that the war between Spain and Naples had gone into a sice fire since.

We start the year with 1000 mew recruits and 1 merchant to Mecklenburg.
Wurtemberg convert to protestantism and there forme alliance, consisting of Austria, Navarra, Naples, Bavaria and Modena DoWs Wurtemberg. The people in Wurtemberg try to stand up against the supriem Austrian forces and it is impossible and in April Wurtemberg is annexed by Austria and all countries in Europe is again chatolic.

Lord E, i've just checked out your AAR for the first time and I've got a couple of questions/ suggestions (I've recently finished a game as Denmark, which faces similar Baltic political issues)

Are you still Catholic? You should be Protestant by now. Convert, recover your stablity, then get some colonists (not Traders) to North American Tobacco or Fur provinces. If you can build a couple of cities by 1550-1560 you can use the extra income to turn you attention back to the Baltic in late 1500s.

Are Riga and Danzig still controlled by Pol-Lith? Check the province incomes. These provinces have CoTs so they are lucrative. It's probably worth a war/ raising loans for troops to get these. Wait until Pol-Lith is in a war, then join the feeding frenzy. Don't forget to take the capital, it's close to Pol-Lith's northern border, then you'll have a major advantage in any peace negotiation.

You say you are in an alliance with Port/Pomm etc. Pomm is useful for now, as you can use their provinces as a highway into Pol-Lith, but I think you'd be better off with a defensive alliance vs Denmark. Sweden (which is either Protestant or will be going Protestant soon) is your obvious partner.

Can you give a list of your current provinces, army strength etc?

I've never had much success trading maps. It may work if I learn about 4 new provinces but give away knowledge of 20+ provinces....

Weel I am still catholic, but I am going to convert any year no and since I see A LOT of the world I presume I will have some colinize up soon

And the provinces you ask about are still under P-L. I will probably DoW them the next time they go into some major war, but at the moment they have a little to strong an alliance But we will see

As you might have seen Sweden is at the moment not in the alliance, but I will hace them back when we both have converted

My provinces are Mecklenburg and Bremen.
Army: One of 23000 inf and 10 guns and an other one of 10000 inf and 1000 cav.
Navy: 3 transphortships

Well you just have to bee smarter than the AI
But a smart thing to do is to trade with some countries in the other part of Europe then you get to see some provinces that Portugal/Spain doesn't know about and then they will probably be interested in a trade
And to have a high level of freindship between the nations helps as well

Well at the moment I have got a little bored of this one, but it might come a update if you are lucky(that is if have got some spear time in the christmas) and at the moment I am(Yoghurt please do not kill me) playing HoI a bit more that I play EUI.

Any way I have some ideas for a new one so we will see
