I have at last started to write an AAR, I have read so many that I thought it was about time I started on one.
I shall be no chaeting.
the Hanseatic Leauge shoud be in the top three in 1792. I start in 1492.
I also wont to have at least 3 CoT's inside my empire.

It was in early January 1492, the Hansa Tag had there meeting.
" I think we shuod build up our fortresses and our army", said the council's leder. This was agree and bulding og bigger fortresses was started in Mecklenburg and Bremen. " As for our navy I don't think it need to be buildet up no, as it konsist og 5 warships and 5 transportation ship" This was also agreed and the founds oh 398 was therfor used in fortress bulding, 9000 infantry and 1000 cavalery and sending merchants to Mecklenburg so the League got monoply. After this the meeting over.

Interesting. Does the Hanseatic League start with the trade level to get monopoloies, because I usually have to research for a few years befor I can get a monopoly.

Venice and Genoa (other merchant republics) also begin with trade enough for monopolies, IIRC.

Is this the IGC? Else Hansa is usually bigger than two provinces.

I don't think so; I've played with Hesse recently and it took a few years before the Hanseatic League could reach a monopolic status (they had next to no competition, with me stopping at 4 merchants in fear of being embargoed).

What he meant was that he'll put merchants in Mecklemburg in hope of getting a monopoly someday. Not in 1492, for sure.

WELL HERE IS THE CONTINUEING

A couple of months went on and then one day the new army was ready. Now the Hansa Tag dicidet that the shud make the allaiance bigger and stronger. " Our Amdassador in Portugal has hade sucess, we have manage to trade maps with them and the have also joined our alliance", the diplomatic advisor cud tell in June.

One month later Portugal offered royal marriged witch we acepted, at the same time Hannover joined the alliance. In december we also manage to get the Tutonic Order to a royal marriged.

In January 1493 the leauge earned 19 ducates and this was used for sending 2 merchants to Mecklinburg and 1000 new men. In March this year the stability raised to +3.

In April a letter from king Hans in Denmark arrived:

Dear Hanseatic Tag

I, the king of Denmark, think we shud have better diplomatic feelings for each other. Therefor I offer a royal marriged.

We accepted the Danish offer and in October we sendt a similar letter to Brandenburg and the did accept.

1494
The league still earns 19 a year and this year as well the money is invested in 1000 new men and two merchants.
In February we manage to convince the English king that it wuold be smart for all of us to have a marrige.

" I am starting to be sick of it. King Hans think that he can do everything with our merchants, and he is all the time sending competition to our merchants. This can't go on, I think we shud declare war against him", the trade advisor said on a meeting in The Hansa Tag. The leder answered him, politly:
" Not now at he moment the Danish are to strong and have to big army's. But when the time is right it will be war". The eintire concile said yes.
On the 23 may Denmark DoW Teutonic Order and Prussia joines the Order. There is several meetings about the situation, but we think that the time is still not right.
Then in August Sweden breaks vassal ship with Denmark and Dow's them.In October we manage to get a royal marrige with Sweden.

1495
The year start with peace in the Hanseatic League. But people are starting to hear rumors about that the League are preparing for war.
This year as well we send 2 merchants to Mecklingburg and pais for 1000 new recruit's. In January Sweden jonies alliance, and we get a royale marriged with Spain in March.
In May we got a messasage that the priest's are speaking bad og the goverments politic and the stbility lowers to +2.

In September we think that the Danish have there forces so spread that no is the time. On 20 September we declare WAR against Denmark. Our allice's jonies in the war exept Hannover, and Sweden that are alredy in war against Denmark.
In Nowember Holstein lay's seige to Jylland, and on 14th of December our army of 21 000 lay's siege to Copenhagen.

1496
Because of the war taxes's we this year get 32 ducats, this are used for 2000 men and 2 merchants. In January we attack Copenhagen, we lose, but the defenders are down to only 1798 men and 4 guns. At the same time the Hanseatic navy wins sea battle against the Danish in the Sund.
On 7 april our forces march into Copenhagen after a sucsesfull attack.
The same day a letter arrives in Lubeck.

My dear enemy.
I king Hans of Denmark offer you a white peace. I think you shud take this offer sow that this war can end.

Since we have captured Copenhagen and The Swidish forces are capturing provins after province in NOrway we don't accept the offer.
Our army og now 19000 men joins's up with 2000 new recruit's in Jylland in June where we help Holstein to take the provins. It falls in September.
Later in September a messinger from our ambassador in Stockholm arrives saing that Sweden has accepted paece with Denmark, in the agrement Sweden get's Jamtland, Narvik and Finnmark from the Danish. In December we ship out 9000 men to Vestfold.

We use money for 1000 new recruits and to send 2 merchants.
In March our army land in Vestfold and lays siege, we also send over 4000 more men. We are attacked by new recruited Danish forces which we beat. We attack but the attack fails. At the same time Pommeria start sieging Sjælland witch the Danisg has just taken back, we send up army of 3000 men to help.

1498
We gets 1000 new men and 2 merchants.
in January we had to pull out og Vestfold after huge losses. We mange to trick Spain to trad maps and then we see South-America.
In Nowember out land tech raise to level 4.

On a concil meeting in Nowember the following thake place.
" A messenger from our army outside Copenhagen, my Lord's."
" Send him in"
In came an soldier in a destroed uniform with a Danish jacket.
" I come with said news my Lord's, our and Pommerias army outside Copenhagen has been complitliy destroyed by Danish forces under command by King Hans. I mange to get away only be taking a Danish uniform and trick the Danish forces to think I was a Danish solder, my Lord's", the sodier said.
" We are lost!" yelled several member's og the Hansa Tag.
"No we will fight to the end", said the concil leder.

1499
The year starts bad. We are in a bad state after the DAnisg distroyed almost over entire army. We try to bulid up a new one and recruit 1000 men as normal. We see that the Hannoverian king has died without any heirs and England has got controll over the provinces.
In February we send up 4800 men to help Holstein with there new siege in Sjælland. Then in march it happends, just as the Hansa Tag was happy gor that we had reacht naval tech 4, we get the news. Danish forces had laid siege to Mecklenburg Horror.
The concil disides to leve the town at once and flee to Bremen.

Yes, those Danes are some idiotes.

I always think it is irritating when the AI offers idiotic peace so I never take this peace offer's. But this time maybe I shud have taken it, because it looks like things are gowing very bad just no.

Still in Bremen. We recruit 1000 new men and send 2 merchants to Mecklenburg. Information is that the Danish forces are still siegeing our capital. We think that life still has to go on, and we are still working on seeing more of the world. So we trade maps with Mamelukes in January and with Spain in February. In March we recive a message from our trusted ally Pommeria, the Pommerian forces are on there march to Mecklemburg to fight the Danish forces. We await the result, nervously. Then in April we got a letter:

To our trusted ally, The Hanseatic League. Pommeria 16.april 1500

We here in Pommeria are sad to tell you that uor forces where defeated by the Danish forces. But we manage to lower the Danish forces from 15000 to 6000, we hope that this have helped you, and we are sad to tell you that we no need the rest og our forces here in defens of Pommeria. Therefor we can't help you more at the moment.

The Pommerian gowerment.

The Tag held there meeting, and it was made a thankfull letter to be send back to Pommeria. At the same time we got reports of that the Danish had sendt in 6000 new men and therefor we send in the rest of our army, 2000 men, to try to at least lower the Danish forces a little.
In August the fortress in Mecklenburg are about to give up and we offeres a white peace, but the Danish refusee. Our forces are defeated and only 559 men manage to get back to Bremen a live.
In September we arrange a royal marrige with Hessen.

Then in October the Danish forces take Mecklenburg, and we got a letter from king Hans:

I, king Hans, are glad to inform you that I have beaten you, and therefor I wont 0 ducates in peace offer.

We jelled out of happiness, the Danish hag gone mad, after defeating us, they oggered a peace that ment back to Status Que. We accepted at once, and in The entiry League it was cellebrations, we were saved. HURRAY

1501
The year started with joy, we where free. In Mecklenburg the people had to build up the town after the Danish had burned down parts of it, so this year we only earnt 11 ducates. This was used for sending 3 merchants to Mecklenburg, and now that we had got the tech recuired, we got monoply there.
At the same time we contiued to have good diplomatic relasons with other contries. Because of this Sachsen accepted a royal marriged in January.
The months whent on and in September we had manage to get infrastructur level 3.
Out in the world England accepted Scotlands peace offer for 240 ducates and this ended the war witch had started in 1498.

1502
This year our yearly incom had raised to 19 ducates again.
We used it for 1000 men and two merchants.

The years whent on 1503 and 1504 was just like 1502. It was peace in our part of the world, but the foreign advisor said that out in the world Scotland haf have to give up The Grampiand to Austria+106 ducates, the Danish had paid Teutonic Order 166 ducates for peace and Spain had declared war on land far, far away called the Aztec Empire. We also manage to get a royal marriged with Venice and Bavaria.

1505
We use the ducates for 1000 men and 2 merchants.
In June we got a royal marriged with Polen- Lithuania.
In JUly we got land tech 5 and in October infrastructur level 4.
Out in the world it becomes size fire between Scotland and Navarre.

In January the Hansa Tag held there meeting.
" Gentlemen, this can not go on. We earn to little a year if we are to be able to build up the country after thos darned danish forces. I think we should take up a loan", the council leder said.
After his speak there was a lot of discussings in the Tag, there was obiuse very different opinions about the theme of taking a loan.

After several days of discussion at last they agreed about taking up a loan. It was also dicidet to use the new 200 ducates for 3000 infantry,20 cannons in Bremen and 4000 infantry, 1000 cavalry in Mecklenburg.

Tehn in May a sad news come to Mecklenburg. Our trusted ally and close friend, Holstein, had been diplomatic anexed by Denmark, after beeing vassal for Denmark for several years.
This event sets both the army and the navy at hige alert. What could happend next, maybe Denmark declared war and comed marching in from there new lands.

There was many frighted people in the Leauge in no and a lot of people asked what no?.......
