The Norsemen: Revival of the Raven
Prolouge
My mothers father taught me the old ways. He knew, they had been taught to him by his father, and he by his and so on. He taught me of the Gods, the real Gods, not this weak and feeble thing that is supposed to inhabit and see all, he who sent his only son to die for us on a cross! Bah, what fools, that men can be subdued by such a weak religion. How can there be only one God! There is too much to be done, to much to be seen. No! I know of the real Gods, those that watch over us and who are still faithful to those that worship them. We will be rewarded in time, those few of us that are left. We who are true to Odin, whom I can trace my ancestry back to, however much my father would deny it.
We who if we were to reveal ourselves would be branded as Pagans. ‘Heretics’ they would scream at us, ‘blasphemers.’
So we have been forced to honour the Gods who inhabit Asgard in secret.
Our people have known nothing but failure since we became a Christian nation. We who used to rape, pillage and plunder the coast and shores of Europe. Our King could not even take back his birthright, but was defeated by an army of farmers.
So it is that I claim, the birthright that our nation has forsaken, the nation of England, DANELAW!
But first we must honour the Gods, we must sacrafice to Odin, dedicate our weapons to Thor, give thanks to Loki.
I shall give the people back their old faith, the true faith. It is time to be Norsemen again!
