I think everyone can agree one of the best parts of a new patch is seeing which nations get their own NI sets. And one of the most frequent topics in the suggestion forums are suggestions for said new NIs. Unfortunately, they can be difficult to find, and can fade away pretty quickly. Hence this thread.

As I recall there used to be a thread similar for this a while back, but since I can't seem to find it, I've created this; a new NI compilation thread, where I'll try to upload any suggested NI sets I see for nations that do not yet have them for convenience's sake. If there is an Idea Set of yours for a nation that does not have an unique NI set, or if I missed one of yours, please; feel free to post.

Edit: Also, please try to keep it restrained to only tags that are already in game or have been confirmed are being added.

At the request of @Trin Tragula, I’ve composed an index of this thread that I’ll do my best to keep updated. I’ve separated it into NIs for countries that already have them (which may or may not have been influenced by the ones in this thread) and ones that don’t, and then alphabetized them for ease of access. Author will be put in parenthesis.

This very belated update to the list was courtesy of @Aquamancer, who did the legwork in updating the thread to match the current situation of NIs ingame, as well as to make it more visually appealing.

Bukharan Ideas

Traditions:

+2 tolerance of heretics

-20% cavalry cost

1. The Shaybanid Dynasty: The Shaybanid Dinasty was the first dinasty in ruling the Khanate of Bukhara. They made Bukhara a center of art, culture and trade and attracted wise men such as Amin Ahmad Razi, author of Seven Climates.+1 yearly prestige

2. Preserve the steppe traditions: Our horde past is still living in the Khanate in a lot of ways. Despite our modernization, we shall not forget that glorious era of riding, pillage, and conquest.+20% cavalry combat ability

3. The Silk Road: Since this city exist, it has been a very important center of trade in the Silk Road. Indian, Chinese, Persian and Arab merchants have seen and lived in this city, and we should maximize our benefit form trade.+15% global trade power

4. Mercenaries of Astrakhan: Astrakhan and Bukhara have a long-time relationship, and they helped each other against our wild cousins of the north. If we pay well, they should be wiling to put a part of their army under our control.+75% mercenaries available

5. Schools for each mahalla: A mahalla is an administrative division used in the Khanate of Bukhara. Each mahalla had their own school, so the cultural level in the Khanate was always increasing.-5% technology cost

6. Tolerate our steppe brothers: In our northern border, the turkic and Altaic peoples fight each other for the supremacy. They are very problematic, but we should do an effort to understand our steppe brothers, since long time ago, we were just like them.-15% accepted culture threshold

7. Ataliq administration: In the Khanate of Bukhara, each region was ruled by an ataliq appointed by the Khan. They received precise orders from the court to ensure that the regions didn't have too much autonomy.-0.05 monthly autonomy reduction

Tunisian/Hafsid Ideas

Traditions:

+1 merchant

+15% galley combat ability

1. Centralize the state: The desert is always difficult to rule. The long distance and the dangers of the desert make communication very difficult. We should maximize the efficiency of our administration to make the state more centralized.-0.05 monthly autonomy reduction

2. Campaigns in North Africa: Since the times of Abu Zakariya, we have been organising campaigns agains the minor african kingdoms, mainly Tlemcen. Our soldiers should march against them with the military efficiency that they have shown these 200 years.+10% army morale

3. Piracy in Mediterranean: The Mediterranean is a region full of pirates. Instead of fighting them, we should cooperate with them and recruit them as corsairs to weak the Christian trade in the Barbary Coast and stregthen Tunisian one.+15% privateer efficiency, -15% ship cost

4. Legacy of Ibn Khaldun: Ibn Khaldun was a very important historian and considered the father of the sociology. Although he was from Al-Andalus, their origins were tunisian and he lived here most oh his life.-5% tech cost reduction

5. Reforms of Abd-Al Azid: The piracy gave a lot of money to the Hafsid state. Under Abd-Al Azid II, those benefits were used to build administrative and naval buildings all across the country to reinforce the tunisian presence there.-10% build cost

6. Center of Mediterranean trade: Tunis has always been a very important center of trade in the Mediterranean. Since ancient times, it has been the gate between Eastern and Western Mediterranean, and the gold and slaves that come from Africa visit Tunis in their way to Europe.+20% provincial trade power

7. Defend against Christian Kingdoms: Since the times of the 8th crusade, to the modern Aragonese and Spanish campaigns, our kingdom has defended its land from those heathens from the north. We should improve our fortifications to ensure that they never try again.+10% fort defense

Crimean Ideas :Traditions :
-10% army maintenance cost

+15% manpower recovery speed

1.Black Sea Trade: The Black Sea has been, since antiquity, an important trading spot between the steppes, Persia and the Balkans. By increasing our trade network we could redirect all that trade to our ports.+15% trade steering

2.Descendants of Gengis Khan: Gengis Khan is one of the best generals and kings in the world, and we can safely say that we are linked directly to him. This is useful for both external and internal purposes.+0.5 yearly legitimacy, -10% coring costs

3.Tatar Cavalry: The age of steppe cavalry is gone, but our cavalry, a bit modernized, is one of the finest in the region and both the Ottoman and Russian empires use it regularly.+20% cavalry combat ability

5.Ottoman protection: Despite our brave warriors and our unbeatable cavalry, we are on a weak diplomatic spot. Surrounded by three empires, we should seek Ottoman protection to focus on internal affairs. -10% stability costs

5.Defend against Poland: Our alliance with the Ottomans can be useful, but the it makes Poland our enemy. We should fortify our borders to protect us from this powerful foe.+15% fort defense

6.Crush the Golden Horde: The Golden Horde is one of our oldest rivals and most annoying neighbours. Now that they are weak, let's crush their armies and conquer their cities.+5% discipline

7.Center of Russian slavery: It might not be ethic, but slavery is a very profitable business, and with some efforts, it will be enough to sustain our economy.+10% trade goods produced

+10% trade efficiency

Morean, Norman, Frankfurter and Flemish ideas, as suggested by myself, retrieved from here:

Morean Ideas:

Traditions: +10% Land Morale, -10% Fort Maintenance

Refurbish the Hexamilion Wall: +20% Fort Defense
Description: The Hexamilion Wall is located in a strategic position, stretching across the Isthmus of Corinth, but it has fallen into disrepair and is horribly outdated. We should rebuild it along more modern standards and take full advantage of its location!

Title of Despot: -20% Time to Fabricate Claims
Description: The title of Despot was originally conferred on the ruler of Morea by the Emperor, designating him as heir apparent. Though the empire is gone, the importance of the title still stands. Let us use it to legitimize our claims as the rightful heirs to the empire.

Albanian Influx: +15% Manpower Recovery Speed
Description: Our homelands have slowly become depopulated due to constant wars and Turkish raids. Let us invite Albanians to migrate into our lands and help rebuild our reserves.

Venetian Outposts: +1 Diplomatic Reputation
Description: The Venetians already have established a strong presence across our peninsula, and if we make concessions to them in key ports, we can use their connections with the rest of Europe to find allies in our struggle.

Reconstruction of the Peninsula: -10% Build Cost
Description: Continuous conflict across our peninsula has resulted in widespread destruction, and many fortresses, churches and monasteries lie in ruin, leaving it a shadow of what it once was. We should begin a program of reconstruction.

Maniot Recruitment: +10% Infantry Combat Ability
Description: The Maniots are a fiercely independent people that live in southern Morea and are renowned for their martial prowess. They’ve prospered under our rule, and so they will gladly contribute to our army.

Continuation of Byzantine Monasticism: +2% Missionary Strength
Description: Morea is home to many ancient monasteries that survived the carnage that engulfed the region. Housing many priceless frescos, and more importantly, devoted monks, we should sponsor them and experience a resurgence in our culture and faith.

Traditions: +10% Cavalry Combat Ability, -25% Mercenary Maintenance Cost

Ducal Laws of Normandy: -1 Unrest

The Bayeux Tapestry: -1% Yearly Prestige Decay
Description: The Bayeux Tapestry tells of the events leading up to and culminating in the conquest of England, our most glorious triumph. Let it stand as a reminder to our great exploits.

Legacy of Norman Conquests: -15% Core Creation Cost

Adventurous Spirit: +10% Land Morale
Description: Our people have always been willing to brave great adversity, and as a new Golden Age dawns upon us we must be willing to face such hardships again.

Settle the New World: +1 Colonist
Description: The Age of Exploration is upon us, and many Explorers and Colonists are leaving our ports for the New World. We should endorse their activities and reap the rewards.

Adaptable Architecture: -10% Build Cost/+5% Fort Defense
Description: Wherever we have gone, we have usually imported our distinctive Romanesque Architecture with us, itself a blend of various styles, and also incorporating local trends in the process. This way, we could better build higher quality buildings without great expense.

Consolidate the Church: +1% Missionary Strength:
Description: The Reformation has shaken the unity of our once singular congregation. We should endeavor to fully endorse one side and see the true word of God triumph.

6) Strive for Tolerance - National Unrest: -1
Unrest is always a great problem in any nation. This becomes an exceptional problem in India, given the fact that it is religiously and culturally divided. We should strive to understand this and reconcile our differences to accomplish a society everyone will want to live in.
7) Berar National Guard - Morale of Armies: +10%

The Sultanate's standing army was composed of a great mass of infantry troops, with regiments mostly drawn from peasantry. But while the cavalry was less present, it was only drawn from the nobility, to ensure the finest trained horses and the best riders.

Funj had the largest standing army in East Africa until the 1810s. These men were garrisoned in castles and forts throughout the sultanate.
