Kinda like Pandora's Box, I never thought to see PGI bring us another 20-ton BattleMech... now my hopes for the Wasp and Stinger are rekindled!

I won't be pre-ordering for MWO*, but I'm really happy to see the Flea. We can't touch the Stinger/Wasp, but this is another 20-tonner we can use. Also it shows PGI hasn't forgotten about <3050 'mechs.

i love the Flea because it farts fire. if things go well, i'll be campaigning to get the Flea into the game.

That's not an unreasonable take at first glance Exemplar, and fairly spot on in the context of this game. However, anything that can fill out the low end of the weight bracket for this game should be welcomed with open arms, imo.
And here I was holding out hope you had already had done that, and were going to sneaking in without telling us ahead of time
The thing is, with engine locking it is extremely important to have different engine ratings in each weight. The ability to add jump jets at will coupled with the Flea's hardpoints means that we would be able to re-create both the Stinger and Wasp in performance (even if we didn't have unique graphics for them).

The Flea is a great fit for this game. With there being no wasp, stinger, any 20 tonner helps. Shame it was released too late for this Dev cycle .
