There is always cake.
But... the cake is not for you.

Kickstarter update. As has been mentioned at least twice in this thread alone:
It is strongly suspected that is a placeholder date.
Paradox usually announces the release date 3-4 weeks in advance.
The release date announcement will be accompanied by a backerkit update e-mail.
Man... I miss that game. City of Heroes/Villains was THE mmo for me. It is the mmo I played the most and the longest... I played it almost every single day over a 3.5 year period (2005-2009). I tried other mmo's both befor, during, and after CoX... but none ever managed to even compare to it for me (and most only lasted me a few days to maybe a month or two at most befor I abandoned them all). Came back to CoX a few times after it went free-to-play (usually only for a few hours), but from 2009 and forward I was pretty much over mmo's as a whole... currently I have not touched a single mmo since 2012 (one of my "log back in to CoX to play a few hours again"-moments).Cryptic (the developers of City of Heroes, RIP) were telling players Soon™ as early as 2004, though I'm sure it predates even them. I'd love to know who actually holds that fictitious trademark. Some dude on the ancient pre-web internet? An old comic book letters page?
Eh, I'm not so sure Frostpunk has all that much attention being directed at it. I spend a lot of time on gaming forums and watching videos on upcoming games etc. as I have a lot of down time at work and until this thread I had never heard of this game. I'm not saying it won't be a potential threat given its timing for release(and it does look interesting), but I'm not so sure it is all that much more well known or anticipated than Battletech. It may be city builder, but Frotpunk gained a lot of fame and attention already, I may be wrong, of course, but Id say this game would get it's share of fan's love and attention.
Oh, it may be a PS 4 release, but 20th April sheduled as a day when a new God of War game would see the light
Corrected, thanks.Kickstarter update.
But otherwise correct AFAIK.
I just ran BattleTech and Frostpunk through "Google Trends", and compared the two, and Frostpunk is for the most part behind BattleTech. Interestingly enough, the moments where Frostpunk equals, or occationally surpases BattleTech in trending, is over roughly a period of 8-10 hours in each day... that period of time so happens to be roughly during North Americas night time (and normal work hours for Europe). XDEh, I'm not so sure Frostpunk has all that much attention being directed at it. Frost punk has repeatedly been listed in 10 most wanted games in steategy and simulation for months now.Eh, I'm not so sure Frostpunk has all that much attention being directed at it. Just as long as the release date is not Friday the 13th, as I have a dentist appointment that day... which is frightening enough to contemplate as is!
But this is more probable: https://steamdb.info/sub/175167/history/That would be awesome.
Announcement tomorrow via Kickstarter Update, with it followed up during the Paradox Livestream... yeah, I could see that! : )A Battletech stream was announced!

We're on day two of...The next 3 days will decide when we have the game...without a release announcement.

Don't worry, the release date will be announced tomorrow.

Just a bit of good natured trolling, Cyttorak has his finger just as firmly on the pulse of this adventure as the rest of us.As has been mentioned at least twice in this thread alone:

And also a holiday, in the US and Western Europe, and a Sunday. No way it's released on the first. So yeah, a placeholder to put it mildly. That would be awesome.
