Whereabouts in Florida? There was the battle of Ocean Pond near Jacksonville. Most Civil War stuff happened north of there and south of NYC unfortunately

Orlando...the usual touristy stuff...I too couldnt recall any battlefields, I was just thinking a museum or something like that.

Yeah not too much Civil War stuff I'm afraid. The USS Intrepid is in NYC, but I read that its going to be closed for a year or two while they renovate. I'm not sure when that starts.

Thanks for all your info, I do try and take all opinions into account...I did consider your comments on the baltic states but I was trying to aviod putting a majority of the nations in a bloc, so to speak...I think its good that some are more or less completely independent...it certainly allows for more variety...something I think HOI2 can lack sometimes (as opposed to vicky)

I guess it would have been possible that Germany let the Baltic States go fully independent after holding them puppeted for a while (after WWI) and they turned into republics. Shouldn't they still be Russian national provinces like Ukraine?

Btw. I had some problems with Mongolia. I was playing Russia and everytime I try to select anything Mongolian in any place I get a CTD. I'll see if I can find something strange in the save file. It seems that Mongolia is a puppet of SOV and SOV does not exist. When I removed the "puppet" and "controlled" status I no longer got a CTD.

That reminds me: Have you thought about turning Mongolia and Tannu Tuva into something else than Leninist/Stalinist/Left-Wing? At first it seems strange for them to be communist without Soviet Union existing, but I suppose some remnants of Russian bolsheviks could have escaped into the two countries and turned them into communist countries. That would be an interesting arrangement. I think you might want to give Russia a Casus Belli on both and make the relations very bad, though. The other option would be treating Mongolia like the Chinese Warlords or make it a Japanese puppet.

Re-russian claims...I always assumed the victorious german made them renounce any claims on the baltics but for some reason the same did not apply to the ukraine (perhaps becuase they are a german puppet.)

Someone had similar questions regarding Mongolia and Tannu tuva a long time ago...My reasons back then were simply that HT had provided no info either way and also, given the lack of left wing governments in this timeline, I thought it best to leave well enough alone...

I like your idea about the 2 nations...perhaps I'll work some sort of event chain into the next series somehow...although if they remain stalinist I doubt any nation is gonna wanna fight for their behalf/survival.

Congrats! Naval Rank should be an option, though Field Marshal has a nice ring to it

I have never been on the Intrepid, but have seen it featured in a few Law and Order episodes and in National Treasure. I believe there are several ships there as well as a flight deck full of aircraft.

I have toured the Yorktown in Charleston Harbor several times, been on the Alabama, North Carolina and Missouri as well. Naval vessels are fascinating.

If you have time in Florida, the Kennedy Space Center is only about an hour from Orlando, and it is a great experience as well.

I just checked the Intrepid website and they close in october, so Im definately gonna check it out...I'll email you some pics when I get back.

saved games

great mod Enterprise. Big fan of the books and the game and you do them both justice. on issue....my saved games do not show up in my MOD lscreen. they are presen in a normal HOIDD load but i can't load the saved games. is there a patch of fix I need? i did the mod and the 2.1 update. Thanx

Hmmm...never heard of this problem before

Look at this for me-

Go to C:\doomsday\mod-ht\scenarios

Is there a 'save games' folder? If not create one and that should fix the problem (and copy your mod saves into the file obviously)...If you do already have one (which you should most definately have)...then we have a bit of a problem...and frankly Im at a loss as to how that is even possible...

Congrats Admiral and have fun here in the Colonies. I'm not sure what your schedule is like; but Maryland with several museums and battlesites like Sharpsburg is closer to NY than one might think. Also Penn. has Gettysburg also not that far. Our big states are out west.

Since you will be in Fla. are you going to visit Gainesville, Fla.? Forrest High School or R.E. Lee High School and The Forrest Inn, sounds pretty Civil War to me.

Not to mention you can drive by where they grew up. They are proud of their hometown band in the bars. It's less than two hours away. Wear one of your band shirts and see what happens.

What country are you playing again? Europe will start shortly and then the CSA has a surprise against the US after that. It will be later though, take this time to build some last minute troops.

Thanks, glad you like it.

You can either not click on those parts of the map or tp fix go into the 1939 scenario folder, open mon.INC and delete-

puppet = SOV
control = SOV

...and save. Problem solved.

Ok LOVE the mod just got the v2.1 had an ideal put a landfort in Chattnooga to be Look out Mtn. that HT talks about in the new book.
( Have not finshed the book yet so might not be a big thing ) Also had an ideal for CSA tech the name of thier Cigerates ( sorry left my book Up stairs and Iam lazy so dont have name of them ) I mean HT talks about them all the time and once again LOVE the mod thanks for the hard work.

I dont think the editor can read mod-dir...so you will have to do a manual correction for now....dont worry, it is a very simple modification.

The American front kicks off in june 41 by event.
