HMS Enterprize said:Oh yes one other thing...what did people think of the new mobility focus doctrines?
The_Kipper said:Much better than what Paradox put in there with the latest patch. Curious how you got the ideas for them. Also why would the second one have to cancel the other tech? I like my CAV and choppers, airborne units etc.. I appreciate what you did there in this update as well.
I'm not much of a close support doctrine guy so I will stay with your Vertical Envelopment.
Since I will go the CAV path, your readme mentioned an exploit but I didn't quite understand what that would affect. In other words how do I not cheat?
ravensuominen said:Just tried 2.1 for the first time. Looks better and better. Too bad Turtledove decided to leave Finland a part of Russia. I would have preferred a German puppet kingdom...Couldn't Finland be at least a puppet of Russia? We did have autonomy before WWI, you know. Oh, well... I guess I'm biased in this question.

It seems that you have given Germany a few (Polish) provinces that Austria-Hungary had before WWI. If Turtledove decided that A-H gave them to Germany, I'll just have to live with it. It's a bit strange, though.
I noticed a few funny things with Russian officers (Denikin is also an Air General in Far East and an Admiral with a funny name has Koltchak's picture - not the one Koltchak has himself, though), but I'm not going to nag about such details. Not when you chose such good pictures for CSA leaders!(Although I always thought Willy Knight would look more like a cowboy myself...)
Keep up the good work! I hope you take some of my earlier suggestions into account in the next version.

HMS Enterprize said:^Glad you are enjoying it.
The canal has always been a problem for this mod, as yet I dont think there has been a way discovered to close it...I live in hope.
You are correct about the panama/columbia thing...I'll try to remember to change it for a future update.
T-hiddemen said:Hmmn. Look at whatever controls the Bosporus and Dardanelles. Turkey only allows passage to countries allied with it.
HMS Enterprize said:^Thank you, very kind of you to go to that effort.
I was pondering model names for Russia and Aus-Hun also...Something else to look into...
m_spencer said:Great mod, two very minor nitpicks. It seems a bit light on US Civil War events, I'd recommend putting in an event for the US reaching Atlanta, or Miami, etc. Also, Patton was from Hamilton, Massachusetts, about 15 miles from where I live. No way he'd fight for the south.
Adamc1776 said:But he's from a Virginia family with ansestors who fought in the Civil War for the Confederacy... no way h would have been born in Hamilton MA in the Great war books conology.
HMS Enterprize said:Very true...and more to the point, he is in the novels, so he kinda has to be in the game!
HMS Enterprize said:Just to forewarn everybody, I will be on holiday for about 12 days starting the coming Sunday so I wont be able to offer support for the mod until I return...
Im comin to the sunny south of the CSA for a week (florida) and then off to see the damnyankees in NYC for a few days.
Anyone know of any good history/civil war related things I could do in said states?
