i was just playing a whole HoI2 match yesterday, and i was puzzled once again, that russia, in the 1936 scenario does not produce 400+ divisions anymore. it created only 230+ divisions, and the 150+ german divisions crushed them. Anyone else experienceing the same? i am on the latest DAIM version, but before the mod, i am absolutely sure that the soviets did build that many. or is that statement true for the 1938 scenario only? i will check...

it is boring now (this time i played as bulgaria, hoping to defend it to have a little fun and see what events fire and such), germany always seems to win, except in the unfair 1944 scenario.

This has nothing to do with SMEP. I have changed no AI files.

I'm not suggesting the events get discarded, but are changed so that Germany receives Pristina, Bjelovar and Osijek in order to eliminate the cutoff provinces in the Balkans. Thx.

The Kosovo region was ruled by the Italians, and I don't see how that would help Germany anyways. As for the the other two, they will remain Croatian. Yugoslavia wasn't invaded for its insignificant amount of resouces, but rather to secure "Fortress Europe". You also assume Austria will always be annexed (I've seen it happen otherwise before). Finally, it would look incredibly weird on the map if we gave those provinces to the Germans.

...especially when the mod size itself is like 200kb. You have a point there. A mod directory would be a nice thing.

Hmm, a weird error just struck me. I reinstalled HoI2, installed SMEP package, sexxyleaders and sexxycolors mods and now that I'm starting a new '36 scenario, I get this:

Japan humiliated

I was playing a game with Nat. China and I beat up Japan pretty bad, so the humiliation/peace event kicked in. Korea became my puppet and I regained Manchuria BUT one province remained Japanese inside my territories, Xilinhot (#1386). I really don't see a reason for that since it's landlocked anyway, maybe you missed it in the event script?

Nat. China is a fun country to play, a lot of action and a lot of national provinces to take over :)

SMEP and 1.3

i'm currently playing hoi2 1.2 with smep 3.5 installed. works well
i'm wondering - will it work with 1.3? if not, is a new version scheduled?

oh, and btw, i guess it won't hurt to report a bug while i'm here - when japan surrenders to china, korea is released, but is not given Jeju (that small island south of the korean penisula)

My guess is that it does work since AI has not been touched but what makes things more complicated is that there are some new events that might overlap with some SMEP events and fixes. I believe it's going to take a while to make SMEP fully compatible with 1.3.

To reply to both of you, yes, I will continue working on SMEP, but I think it will take a while to make it compatible with 1.3 for reasons not related to the AI. As Jusas noted, 1.3 comes with new events and fixed events, which might conflict with SMEP's already-made changes. Therefore I'll have to go through all these events one by one and see what the deal is... :eek:o

Even further, SMEP made changes to the minister files of GER, SOV, and USA, so I'll have to look into those, too! :( It will be worth it though, right? :D

As for that island south of Korea, it's WAD that Japan keeps it. Don't ask me for any historical basis, though, as China never defeated Japan anyway :p

Also, as for that one renegade province, I'll look into it, thanks Jusas. :)

As some of you may have noticed, many SMEP events have been included into 1.3. While we're honored that Paradox has found our work worthy of being included into the general game, by no means will we cease working on SMEP.

It will take some time for a new version of SMEP that is compatible with 1.3 to be released, but seeing as how a great many events are included already, you shouldn't suffer too badly. ;)

Dear Members of the SMEP mod.

Your work was great for 1.2, and I really appricated playing with it. Thank you.

Unfortunately, I was overly eager to get 1.3, I now have SMEPed 1.3 HOI2 on my computer, and My game as Germany fritzed out right about Munich.

In addition, There seems to be very little rebuking and no egypt created.

I guess I have no choice but to await a uninstall, reinstall to fix this.

I would like to ask:

Is SMEP responsible for the CTDs I've recieved (2 of them so far)?
Is Sexileaders and Sexilcolors OK with 1.3? I thought that they got a little darker with 1.3 somehow, not sure about that?
