So has anyone gotten the "aspiration for liberty" event chain yet? Cause man have paradox made this one impossible. The event starts off with -6 stability, like it used to, however they now made it so that pretty much every year, you get abother event that drops stability by one and spawns some new rebels. I've now played for about 3 years, and I'm pretty sure I've lost about 10 stability in total by now, (which includes the starting -6) I think that's a little crazy to be honest...

Okay, so I looked into the event chain, and as it turns out, I need +1 stab to get of it it. This means it can not possibly be working as intended right? I've increased my stability 3 times, but I'm still at -3 stability because of the constant stab hits. This means it's currently near-impossible to even get rid of the event...

Stack adm points and buy stability up to +1 in one take?
I was thinking of that, but there's still a meantime for the restore order event to happen. This would also mean that on top of the +2 unrest from the main event, and the unrest for related events I would have to sit on another +6 unrest from negative stability. Do you think that's WAD?

I have no idea if this is WAD, but since this event chain's purpose is to make player's life hard it may as well be WAD.

1. what is WAD?

also in dealing with peasant war (not the same, i think? I am new to this game virtually, especially on the community, with slang terms etc) effects that need to be restored, are ranging from Manpower, to Stability, and even Over Extention. :)

Used to a trick for this, accept rebel demand, let the taxes be lower, don't even have standing army (if anyone atack you they face more rebels than your own force limit anyway, and you won't lose a single manpower from them) don't make debt, build up your monarch points, wait until you have enough to get it up to at least +3 then let it hit event one time, then up it as much as possible, so that the largest propability for it not upping in time for event to trigger off happens.

Then, use all thise new manpower that is built up, to build an army, and slowly build onto it, and never ever have a peasant war again due to flag on your country tag :p personally peasant war is one of the most interesting mechanics as long as it is able to stay on top of it.

Not sure in the new rebel mechanics where there is no real accept demand, and rebel demands are enforced entirely if you accept.

I have never had the liberalism event though, due to my severe love of constitutional monarchy :)

WAD means : "working as designed", Original Post asked if this event chain was designed that way or did developers mix something up.

Your trick was pretty smart, but truth is best trick is never to get to neither "pesant war" nor "aspiration for liberty".

Also Hi! ;)

EDIT: mixed up quotation marks ;)

I think both the Peasant's War and Aspiration for Liberty events are very obscure in when they fire and how to end them. The game itself gives you no hints, you have to figure it out by googling/wiki and such.

I agree, in-game help tab would be helpful about many things.
