The Most Ancient Dynasties of CK2

The oldest dynasty in CK2 are the Cholas in South India. They are first mentioned in the inscriptions of Ashoka in the 3rd century BCE, and are probably even older than that. Unfortunately, we do not know exactly how old, because the oldest (concretely dated) written inscriptions from India are in fact those same Ashokan inscriptions.

Pandya Dynasty is even older. They are neighbours and historical rivals (and allies) of Cholas, and they are known and written about in literature as early as around 600 BC. And they remained more powerful than both Cholas and Cheras for almost a millenia.

In general, Pandyas, Cholas and Cheras all have their dynasties going well back into the BCs.

Did anyone mention the Hashimids? They have an in game family tree dating back to 300 and something and are alive and kicking during the different start dates.
AFAIK there is no other dynasty that goes as far back in game as them.

As a bonus they're still alive, ruling Jordania.

Not according to the New Testament. Jesus may have had four brothers and even some sisters, but even if he didn't he is known to have at least 2-3 uncles. He may also have had kids by way of Mary Magdalene but this is purely speculation.

In any event he would have had cousins and other more distant relatives via his mother and (earthly) father, it would be interesting to know if anyone knows what happened to any of them. Having the Sayyid trait is pretty impressive in the Islamic world and Mohamed was "just" a prophet, imagine how much cachet a "Nazarene" trait would give you today, especially in certain parts of the US !

Would not Jesus' dynasty be considered a bastard cadet dynasty like so many in the game? An unmarried woman becoming pregnant after being secretly banged by someone, and giving birth to a boy who goes on to be overhyped in texts as some religious figure...what else can this be called?

Don't start a witch hunt on me for this. I don't know much about Christianity or it's history.

Not sure it's been said but House Yngling descend from Yngve Frey who suposedly lived round year 0. It's not as old as some other but in scandinavia it's plenty old.
