The Most Ancient Dynasties of CK2

I recall we already have this thread, but I can't find it. So, what is the most ancient house in CK2 timeframe?
I know that Bagratids of Armenia are traceable till 2nd century BC. I recall some house in Kashmir traces its ancestry to Alexander's times, but can't remember their name.

Well there's alot of the irish dynasties that go back to 1-200 AD, and some of the welsh dynasties go as far back as 2-300 AD - though I'm not so sure if that's entirely accurate, but they're that old in the game files anyway

The Irish ones are generally based on genealogies, which trace back before 500 AD when literacy became widespread. Given this means that transmission must have been oral, it may cast doubt on their veracity. That said, even non-literate societies can develop reliable ways of recording history, and in the case of Ireland, intensely metrical poetry may have filled that gap.

Not counting the Solomonids and their dubious claims, the oldest independent dynasty on the map are the Pandyans, dating from 600BC-ish. The oldest non-independent dynasty is somewhere in northern India, and is apparently mentioned in the Ramayana, but the name eludes me.

Karens are older than Sassanids, they are of Parthian stock, and Pahlavuni in Armenia in later start dates claim descent from Karen.

True but the Bavandids are still pretty old compared to the Plantagenets!

I also think that the Chola's are quite old, think they started about the same time as the Pandyan's but burned out earlier.

That would make cadet branches interesting if somehow, with enough prestige, the surviving cadet branch could claim to be the main line.

I have wanted this so much, especially after discovering the Bavandids were a cadet branch themselves. It really would make cadet branches fun, especially if the main line died out.

Especially since with the new start date it would be about 100 years since the Persian Empire collapsed, it would be fun to pop the rightful rulers back on the throne. In fact, at this start date the last Sassanids were only just off map as newly minted Chinese noblemen.

(But Bavandids for the win! They are descended from a rightful heir that was disinherited anyway)

The Afrighids, the ancient Khwarezmshahs who ruled in Khwarezm until 995, date back to early 4th century.
Though I'm not sure if this history is represented properly.

Turkic Ashina (one Tengri vassal of Khazars, two Muslims in Jerusalem and around) are pretty decent, they started around 3rd century AD, achieved most power in 6th and are in decline since

Well they are themselves a branch of Armenian house Kamsarakan, who claimed descent from Arsacids via Karen. Of course Kamsarkans were around in 325 AD, which is pretty descent in itself.
