Geography.
France should be destroyed ASAP.
Attacking tiny, vulnerable countries is a perfectly viable method of diplomacy (Sorry, Saddam:D).

Still, you can't annex anything that is not a OPM :p
WW II happened outside the time scope of EU3
Actually, Hitler consider everybody else as subhumans (maybe he considered russians more subhumans then the french but that is not the point), just like Spain considered the Maya as subhumans. In this case the annexation is possible.
Hitler could also have been playing an older version of the game (I remember that in an older version you could demand vassalization even if it coasted 2000 war score).

I also learned some geography from the game. Also some history, as this period became more interesting to study a bit on the internet.
EU3 (with expansions) one of the top 5 games ever.

-Inflation is ALWAYS a bad thing, no matter what anyone else might tell you!

-The only reason why the Czech's didn't conquer europe was because.. uh wait, they never fail to blob do they? I guess reality is like totaly unhistorical!

-We could solve the economic crisis if the leaders of the world would only build workshops in their provinces!

This man is the truth

Indeedy! Whilst I did have a vested interest in History before discovering EU III it did help take it to a whole new level...

Thanks Paradox for making such a great game!! :D

WW II happened outside the time scope of EU3

I know, I was just trying to joke about the "only OPMs are annexable" rule :p

That the Hurons were richer (14 vs 10 base tax) and more powerful (10 vs 7 manpower) than the Iroquois, and of course crushed them early in the 15th century.
Also that the Lenape were not, in fact the real name of the Delawares, but a completely unrelated group of Iroquois (Lenape province being Iroquois culture, rather than the (existent in-game) Delaware culture.

HAHAHAAHAH!!! GREAT ONE!!!

Moral of EU 3? You wonder how come the Byzantines never thought of building a fleet of Galleys, blocking the Bosporus Strait and re-occupying Greece with a 1k man army, all while the Ottomans are at war with the Timurids; then suing for peace and demanding all their former Greek provinces (except for Adrianople, which will fall in another war or to a Greek revolt) :p

Or, when you wonder how on Earth did the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth exist, as ingame the Lithuanians always break free of the Pole's yoke :p .

EDIT: Oh, and when you wonder how did Hitler manage to annex France in one war even though France was no revolting nation

He never actually annexed France..

Oh, Hitler annexed only part of it, the other part (Vichy) was vassalized.
Not quite. The Nazis occupied northern France (including Paris) for economic (most of France's industry) and military (war with Britain) reasons. Despite this Vichy France retained nominal rule within the occupied territory. For example, when the RAF bombed a Ford plant in Poissy (in occupied France), the French Government had to pay 38 million francs as compensation.

You're no fun! We're just trying to model the relationship in EU3 terms. :)

-that rebels are like orcs/darkspawn. No matter how many of them you kill in a single province, they'll keep coming and coming fearlessly from underneath the earth to the slaughterhouse.

-I realized that even the slightest decision can affect the course of history and tottaly change it. What if? the bastille hadn't fall? what if the turks hadn't come to Europe?

-How little is a single life worth when you've got 10000 fallen in a single battle for some stupid cause *plays Green Fields of France on Youtube*

The Spanish didn't consider the Mayans less than human, that's why they were incorporated into their empire and converted to Christianity.
