Happened to me as well early on in my current Hungarian game. Most likely vector are the Abyssinian Christians, since Venice is in easy diplomatic range of them. You only need *one* Venetian noble to marry a black princess one time for it to spread.
Reminds me of my very first game after a few trial starts, where I started in Ireland in 1066, got lucky with a Crusade, and ended up with the Kingdom of Jerusalem, which I held against jihads and slowly expanded for the next few hundred years. A few generations in I started marrying my kids into the Ethiopian royal family and vice versa, to the point where a good portion of my dynasty was Ethiopian-looking. Eventually there was this huge bloc of Catholic and Monophysite covering Egypt, Ethiopia, the KoJ, and Syria. I had a lot of fun with it.
Actually the unlanded mechant republic men may through events pick up an exotic bride from time to time. A mandé bride to be exact. Though in this case it seems like a marriage proposal from the south.
You can see that she had parents, so she wasn't randomly generated, which I believe the event does. I do like playing with ethnicity and blood lines, but it always makes me wish that it was possible to get mulattos et al. Although it's better than the mulattos at release, which were just Arabs XD
There's an event where an unmarried member of your family will marry a random woman from a non-Patrician burgher family and they're often quite a bit older. From my own experience in Irish republic games, it's quite often a twenty year old marrying a woman in her late thirties and that'd be about right for this pairing. Even down to them just having one child since there's only about a three-to-four year window where she can really have a child after the marriage.
For me it's always Genoa. But not with Ethiopians/East Aricans, but with Berbers. And they also switch their culture. And religion. Always.

CK2 is pretty hilarious in that genetically if even one generation is fat or marries an Ethiopian, the entire dynasty will eventually consist of fat black people.
You mock, but Her Majesty, Queen Chandalarice de Block was a wonderful ruler for her time, and so strong, you know she was a strong, independent feudal ruler who didn't need no King-Consort.

well black genes are dominant, usually when any other "races" mates with whites/european its the other races that the children take after
i think that mixed people should actually look like the old Med portraits.
