Hey everyone. I've been playing Stony Road [rather World TUmbling] for about a month, even doing an AAR for Ireland. All the comments about making thigs hardert etc, does this preclude a minor nation from making a difference? Unmodded, it is hard enough to get some minors going. I was just wondering if this had ben considered.

And a slightly related question: why different MODs for different countries? I'm not well-versed in programming at all, and the division has confused me. DOesn't one all-consuming MOD increase playability? DOn't stomp me if i'm wrong, please, i'm just curious.

Good Gaming

What do you mean more than 1 mod? Do you mean more than 1 scenario? In that case, I believe that A world Tumbling makes it hard for the Allies to win, and as such incorporates new pop-ups and stuff. And vice versa for Stony Road, it makes it hard for the axis. Rising Sun, makes it hard for Japan.

sorry....

I should have said more than one scenario. Why is ther eone ofr Germany, one for the Allies, one for Japan, etc. Isn't it better to have one sweeping scenario for ALL The nations? What are the differences, and why are they considered necissary?

One big scenario implies that it would be more or less balanced but Stony Road is deliberately UN-balanced. The main purpose of Stony Road is to make the game more difficult for the human player so it's basically a different scenario for each country the human might play. If you played the Germany scenario as one of the Allies the game would probably be trivially easy.

Well, because the AI is not good enough to make a challenging game, you should give lots of handicap to opposing alliances, making the mods country dependant.
