Hmm, to many one-province nations to take over, and I'm not sure if a Hezbollah tag would be implementable. Of course, we can have events where Hezbollah commit random acts of terror, but they wouldn't be to the extent as you mentioned.

Arab unites should have org. problems. Easy way to do it is to make a two doctrines for all Arab countries. One that bring their org. down to a very low level (they should start with this one) and another that takes along time to implement (two-three years) but is very cheap (10 IC) that cancels the first. I could give many reasons why this is a good idea, but the most humorous was Egyptians hoping out of their tanks and hiding in the sand when Israel's planes flew over head during the 6 days war. Also Israel should have pretty high dissent at the start, and I do not think blowing up people would help it go down. As for how to keep their economy running I would give them events where foreign trade bring in more resources because the World Market will never work for a nation that has such little to offer anyone else. Finaly I would give Israel a small powerfull army with a really big fort.

Mideast Alliances

i think there should be some sort of alliance economically for the mideast so if you play as saudi arabia for example you could have events that let you embargo oil to the west from all the countries in that alliance

i think maybe there should be events in retailiation for suicide bombings such as a air strike on arabian nations that damages them in some way but isnt a DoW also alpinit is right that israel should get advanced weaponry at the start maybe it should also get technology from the u.s.

Those would make interesting random events after we've progressed beyond the alpha.

What about the sanai? currently they have a UN force there the keep egypt from attacking. Could you make a UN country that grants acess to everybody but controls troubled areas?

It wouldn't have a set date, but if the random event for a Saudi governmental collapse occurs then the new Taliban-ish government could declare a holy war I think.

....and no doubt go to war with Jordan, Iraq and the Gulf states as these would be seen as 'puppets' of the west.

I would have thought a similar revolution would be possible in the Sudan and Libya, too.

What about the Suez Canal?perhaps Egypt could have an event, where it could close the canal to the west/israel.Also,to really make things interesting, perhaps at some hard-coded time,a new "intafada"(not sure about the spelling),could begin, and then all the Arab countries would have a choice of helping them out and starting a new Arab-Israeli war.

About someone saying Israel kicked arse last time they went to war (Presumably you mean the 1973 Yom Kippur War ?), that isn't really true. Syrian and Egpytian troops utterly shattered the Israelis in their first attack and IIRC at one point along the Golan Heights (The disputed territory between Israel and Syria) a single Israeli tank was defending a large strip of land against several hundred Syrian ones. Eventually, however, with a huge amount of American support and after major re-grouping, they (the Israelis) managed to successfully counter-attack the Arab states.
