PDX thinks they're bigger than they are. They announce games no one really wants, announce none of the games all fans want. They also ignored the main thing everyone likes about PDX: PDS. I wanted to attend the convention, but I now see myself lucky. If they do this again, I would only attend if we get confirmation of an announcement of a PDS game.

On a personal level, sorry you felt that.

I didn't go to be present for game announcement, I went for the chance to meet Paradox staff (met the two I really wanted to, and a guy I didn't even know of that turned out to be awesome!) and some other people from the forum. I would have been happy with just that, but on top I got the chance to listen to some experts talk about what they are passionate about.

Indeed, but we got to see more Paradox members and forum members, more time to mingle,... Had long chats with PDS guys and was even more productive for the modding community this time around than i ever cold have hoped at a fan gathering.

I with other modders ans players had a nearly two hours chat on gaming industry, business strategy and modding with @Shams ... it was great, learned a whole lot, he replied to all our questions openly.... okay, not when we tried to have him slip some inside informations of PDS games release. This is something that has never really been possible at fan gatherings.

Okay, I'm more of a EUIV guy, and i have a DLC on Russia i'd been dreaming about, i had expected a PDS game announced also, but this was a fan gathering +++++++ !

PDXCon is Paradox Interactive. I'm sorry you don't like the games they publish outside of the in house studio, but if you expect it to be about PDS each time, you will be disappointed. Pdx in general has changed it's stance to not announcing games till they are ready to be announced, as people seem to have an inability to wait once something has been announced.

Indeed, i heard about a secret project when in Stockholm... although, it seems a hard name to pronounce. They kept calling it "hmmmm hmmm hmmm". Though, we never managed to get them to let slip anything else than that name.

Not to mention as others said it was PDXcon not PDScon, it was never just going to be PDS stuff even if they did have things ready to announce.

IIRC, Hadrian and Titus are the projects worked on by Doomdark and the Civ 5 guy.

Four projects. At PDXCon it was revealed that project Hadrian is being worked on. Titus and Tiberius we've known about for years (so they're bound to release soon) and Caligula we've known about for around a year.
