hmm in my current game after the last patch I'm in year 1102 now. I count 2 Christian kings having married lowborns and there are around 15-20 Christian kings in game yet. Also, some dukes married them and heirs of the HRE often marry them.
I wouldnt have recognized it or would have thought of it as a funny irregular unique happening, if i hadnt read this post though. But hence I havent looked out for it in the past, I am not able to state clearly that this is an effect of the newest patch.
Now I have to delay starting a new game until they fix this crap.
Wonder If I can get a refund while I wait....lol
My game is having lots of trouble technically and all these weird things like the lowborn spam makes me not want to play this!. I will just play Europa![]()
Few things chap my hide more than noticing that some squalling whelp is suddenly heir to two counties in my kingdom. I thought I made it clear: NO ONE GETS MORE THAN ONE COUNTY EXCEPT THE KING AND DESIGNATED HEIR. I will mercilessly slap down any vassal, Duke or Count that dares to challenge this policy. GRRRR.![]()
There should be a huge prestige hit for marrying lowborns, as well as a diplomacy penalty for being married to a lowborn and for being the descendant of a lowborn.
An event where your son or daughter runs off to elope with their lowborn lover would just be freaking sweet, though.
Personally I would prefer that they just remove the lowborn generals completely. Let us assign people to lead the retinues instead.
