So I was messing with an highway connection, when all of a sudden I deleted the highway connection to an unowned plot. Now I have to get that plot when I'm able to unlock another plot. Which screws up my future plans. I didn't want that plot, we only get nine...

Also this will highly effect my traffic entering and leaving my city, causing gridlock through my already established areas. Effectively making me have to destroy a big chunk of it to reroute traffic.

Anyways, I didn't know you could destroy your city with one button. So this is a warning to everyone trying to make better highway entrances into your city.

Time to start over again, for the umpteenth time. Ugh it's starting to get old. I've wasted enough time figuring this game out.

Nine plots are more than enough. If you fill 4 or 5 plots 100% your population will be too much for this game to currently handle.

I've never been able to modify/delete highways which are on the edge of the map - I wanted to the other day and had to buy a tile I didn't want just to test out if shutting off that exit would force my cargo trains to work better (it didn't, in fact it made them worse) but I digress.

If you fill 9 tiles, or even 5 or more, your population should, realistically be in excess of 250,000 easily. I have 3 tiles of level 1 mixed low density commercial, industrial, low density residential and high density residential. I have a 45,000 population (all uneducated). That population will certainly triple as soon as education is available, if not do more than triple. If I do that, I expect immediate crashing, problems saving, problems doing anything.

To fill another 6 tiles and upgrade to high density - especially with the current bug which makes commercial and industrial not actually required in a city if they are removed in the correct way. I am confident I could make my current map have a minimum of 500,000 population, if not 750,000. However, would the game function with this high a population? It struggles above 150k. Has anyone got hear to 500k and been able to actually play it?

I kind of derailed the topic there...

It would be a nice feature to be able to sell an empty tile though, or adjust the roads/traintrack outside of the boundary - there's no reason why that can't happen.

Couldn't you reload the save?

I have a 500k population city..... It works but you need to pause it when building, and then it will crash anyway. At least once every 30 mins it will crash. Saves don't work half the time.

I've had to go back to previous saves in order to move forward. Just means I've wasted at least 12 hrs of my life.

I realize the limits, I wasn't complaining about how we only get nine tiles. I was complaining that I'd have to open a tile I didn't want, thus fucking up the whole shape of my city.
