The longest surviving line in 769?

• I managed to find that House Purgyal (Tibetan emperors) go back to its founder who was born in 5.
• In Europe, House Alt Clut (Petty King of Galloway (Scotland)) can be traced back to Caradog (House Catuvellauni) who was born in 21.

Does anyone can find any older surviving dynasty? And I mean according to CK2, not according to the actual history or what the actual dynasties claimed about themselves. There was a lengthy discussion about the same topic here on the forum, but people got sidetracked pretty fast, arguing about Mahabharata, Solomon, Sassan, Jesus and whatnot.

So, which is the oldest surviving line in 769 according to CK2?

CK2 cannot handle negative dates, so don't expect anyone to go back further than that. That being said, I wonder if there is any dynasty going back to year 1.

the earliest characters are Roman emperor i believe, though i believe the earliest still playable dynasties are somewhere in armenia

Searching through the history files, I came up with House Dál Fiatach in the county of Ulster, going back to 2. They even briefly hold the county in 1066.

On a different but related note, I think the Abbasids are the only dynasty to exist in all starts. I could be wrong of course.

It can handle negative dates. If you're immortal other immortal characters show up who can be from BC. It'll show up as -200 instead of 200BC though.

There are a few others; for instance there's a Capet count in 769, and of course they are still going concerns in 1337.

Normally you write 'yyyy.mm.dd' for AD, for BC you use 'dd.mm.yyyy'. So 100.7.13 for Julius Caesar

Karen-Pahlavi dynasty goes back to 2nd century I believe. No living members, although Karen dynasty is their offshoot. And I'm pretty sure there are living Karen folk in 769.

Arsacid dynasty has no living member, but I believe they are the oldest in the game. Mihranian dynasty, which I believe in 769 holds Sheikhdom of Albania in Georgia, can trace some roots to Arsacids.

I don't think you can have a historical character that was born before the year 1. When a character spawns in the year 800 who is 1000 years old the game has no choice but to display a negative. At least that's how I think it works.

Just fired the game up for a check and the Arcrunis are counts of Vaspurakan in 769 but their earliest game-file ancestor is given as third century. Looked at some of the other Armenian dynasties like the Mihranian and Kamsarakan and they all only have an ancestor of about the same vintage.
Seem to remember in a similar thread before someone mentioning some Tamil dynasties that went right back to vedic times but can't recall the names.

That makes no sense. How would you know what date was represented by 30.12.30, for example?

In the current version, there is House Salvius, which contains a fella from Ragusa in 769 and a Roman Emperor. With no connecting branches whatsoever.
