A truly bloody war on Alba, pity you could not place the Icelings on the English Throne.
Scotland has been a powerhouse all game long -- they control most of Ireland, and while they can't stand up to England one-on-one, they're good at exploiting other wars for gain.
So sometime over the weekend, I think I'll start a thread in the EUIV forum, and start with regional overviews / history summaries as I finish modding / prepping the various parts of the world. Working on Iberia and the British Isles now.

Yes, for some countries (not all) I'm doing a little custom idea modding I'm not advanced enough to do complex decisions, missions, events, etc., but I'm at least working on the flavor and style of the major countries that seem interesting.

It's not that hard in the end once you have understood the principles

Prussia? Interesting. Right now I have Santiago using a mixture of Teutonic ideas and the generic Holy Order ideas, with a couple custom ones to benefit their infantry prowess. I don't see them as a colonizer, but they do get some solid buffs to ground combat ability.
What I meant is that theocracies had a hard times with modern times. Except some bishoprics in the HRe and the papacy all became monarchy, especially Prussia so I hope you could do sth about that.

Well, it seems I got into this just in time to see it end. Ah well, that was certainly a tumultuous few decades; glad to see your dynasty managed to ride the whole thing out, though!
That english war was brutal, vicious stuff. I think that it might leave the British permanently resentful towards the continent, and also serve as some kind of national epic (in the same way the Hundred year war unified France) seeing that in their view they repelled two of the strongest european powers by themselves.
It sure was -- I'm happy to have stopped the French, even if I did come up short of restoring the Icelings. It's definitely going to lead to some political fracturing and isolationism, though.
