The Lithoids Species Pack for Stellaris: Console Edition will release on March 25th! This species pack will also launch alongside a free update, which brings the base game of Stellaris: Console Edition equivalent to the free features included in the Verne (2.6.3) patch for PC.

The Lithoids Species Pack features a selection of new rock-based species portraits and ship models for players who take nothing for granite and are looking to unearth a more grounded civilization.

Players can look forward to trying out the entirely new Lithoid play style that focuses on mineral production, relentless colonization of even the most marginal worlds, and refusing to cede an inch of your empire - for sedimental reasons.

The Lithoids Species Pack includes (Paid):
  • Unique Mechanics for Lithoid Empires
  • Lithoid-exclusive “Calamitous Birth” Origin
  • 15 New Portraits of Lithoids and 1 of a Lithoid robot
  • New Mineral-based Ship Models
  • New voice pack

New Features in the Free Verne Update (2.6.3):

  • Galactic Community: Diplomacy takes a new meaning with the introduction of the Galactic Community, and the ability to set laws and regulations that all members must follow.
  • Origins: Choose from several unique backstories for your Empire. Was your empire founded by a Prosperous Unification, the end-result of a Lost Colony ship, or did you evolve on the Galactic Doorstep? These Three Origins are included in the Verne (2.6.3) Update, four other Origins are included with previously released DLCs (Utopia, Apocalypse, Synthetic Dawn) and one with the new Lithoids Species Pack.
  • Envoys: Choose to send envoys to your neighbours to improve diplomatic relations, harm diplomatic relations, or have them represent your empire in your federation or the galactic community.
  • Federations Mechanics: Your Federations can now level up over time and change laws in your Federation that member states must follow.
  • Diplomatic Stances: Choose to set your diplomatic stances, will you prefer to expand, cooperate with your neighbors, or be a belligerent neighbour?
  • Several Relics and Archaeology Sites: Discover ancient wonders and hidden secrets with new Archeological dig sites, and gain powerful Relics that offer unique abilities and benefits.

The Lithoids Species Pack and the free Verne Update will be available on March 25th for Xbox and PlayStation!

Wasn't the Galactic Community a feature of the federation expansion rather than a free update?
The whole 2.6 patch comes with federations dlc on pc version. The galactic community is part of three free 2.6 update. Most of the GC is free but some parts don't come until the federations dlc comes out. Aspec talks about the GC of the pc version

You know I remember complaining about what was like year of silence from the Console Edition. Well now I see where all the work went in to. Seriously we are already up to Origins
