With attrition occurring with some of our members, including the Doctor himself, our Friday night group has begun a new '38GC. We're now up to June 1939.

Anyone who is willing to make a solid commitment is welcome to take a regular spot. Subs are welcome too, but please make your availability clear at the outset. And read the posts for the regular player's intentions.

The world as we now know it:

Japan has puppetted all of China outside of Tibet and Mongolia.

Germany has been sitting pretty

The SU has also sat pretty

The UK has yet to make a dent in US's interventionism.

It was a stroke of genius if I do say so myself, letting Nationalist China annex all the other china's before I puppeted them.

Other than that, Germany certainly has some bold and daring plan's and Japan's economy after much screaming, heart breaking, and crying on the side lines has finally begun to stabalize. :rofl: Russia meanwhile is still upgrading his men, or so he says. And UK/USA well..... they....didn't really say much.

Other than that, 38 Scenario seems pretty strong so far. It'll be interesting to see how it goes from here on in.

I have sold if not fanatical commitment to MP games and will easily play longer than your game lasts then join a new vnet game.

Im very reliable once im in the game and provided i remember when the resume is i will be there too.

I play mostly Soviet Union and Germany but do enjoy UK and USA from time to time.

If your really desperate i can be japan and italy.

I was literally 3 minutes away from starting something when we stopped. I am looking forward to next friday so I can truly begin the next 1000 year reich!

There were reasons behind my choices with the US. But it's yours to do with as you want.

How'd it go, Pedal? I heard rumours of an Axis UK at the beginning.

Alright.

So World Events included historical Pact with the SU And Italy Joining the Axis.

Germany attempted a Amphibious landing against the UK (Against the advice of his Japanese ally but all good) and ended up not quite landing because of a British Navy which apparently he made pay for wiping him out.

As 1940 Rolled around the Axis realized Germany had Never got the "Invade Poland Event" And there was Panic in the streets. Italy demanded immediate war, whereas Japan was content to "Wait till he was ready" and Germany ended up moderating between the two.

Japan invaded and annexed Siam. Thus placing them in a strategic location against the Brit's and French. War was DoW'd against the Allies around Late Feb.

Japan took some of the British Colonies in the Pacific. As well, he began to move against British Forces in Signapore and India.

On a more hesistant note, I noticed strong Build up by the USSR of a navy. (IE:. THey expanded it) And I am a wee bit concerned by this, thus I have strengthed the Home gaurd and prepared to make them pay for any foolishness

Germany smashed into Denmark, Italy took Yugoslavia, an invasion of Bulgaria was halted by a USSR "Grrrrr don't you dare". Norway was annexed as well by Germany. Then Germany smashed into Poland, and the game ended when our USSR crashed as he tried to influence and accept the "Historical USSR Land grab" at the same time.

All in all a fairly enjoyable Game

I am tempted to join as my regular group dissolved following a rather banal argument, but before I commit myself, can you please answer the three following questions:

1) what time do you begin and end each friday?

2) do you have any house rules?

3) how is your group (I'd prefer a group of relaxed, mature and serious players that plays for the fun of the game)?

I'm an experienced player although I have not played/tested the 1938 scenario yet. I am very reliable once I make a commitment.
