I have been wondering about the role the League of Nations would get in the game - heard nothing about it. By 1936 it's prestige was dimming, yes, but it still had some kind of force. The League should be represented: if not through an entire mechanic, at least through events.

Maybe the League in HoI4 could prevent another big world war? Who knows :p

I'm pretty sure what the world tension mechanic is after de-abstraction. Under low WT, the LON is telling all the nations "Hey, you probably shouldn't do anything aggressively to prevent a WWII." And the Democracies listen while the Fascists and Comintern are like "Try and stop me, m8." Under high WT, the LON is more willing to let the UK guarantee Poland or the UK is less likely to respond when they tell them not to.

I think the LON is there, it's just only respectable democratic nations that care enough about their image to adhere to what the LON says.
