Btw, you can host with a firewall - I have SonicWall ProVx, and as you have witnessed, there were hardly any problems.

I guess you know I'm behind a proxy server. At leat Amric knows that.
I made tests with Amric, he hosting, but EU2 never found the host. And also EU2 didn't find the valknet(sp?) server.
On the support forum I read how to make EU2 work on multiplayer over internet, how to configure the proxy for that, but my proxy seems not too good handling this.
Does anybody knows a good (and, of course, free, but cracked also works
) proxy server that could handle issues like this, like opening specific portranges?

damn...does that mean the support center that emailed you was of no help either? What brand of router are you using. It may not be the server totally, but the router may also be a problem.

don't know a thing about winconnection, sorry. I am totally unable to help you with it. Sorry. I don't know anything about Proxy Server Software. Maybe Nalivayko might know something, he's in that sort of thing....
Okay...I may have screwed myself...I didn't like the idea of being completely free and clear totally to the internet...I was in what was called the DMZ....Sooooo, I went back to the 23000 to 24000 and now I can't even see MYSELF in Valnet! So went BACK to DMZ, and STILL can't see myself! SHould not, in theory matter when Nalivayko hosts...but it is still quite irritating...That is weird...it shows me in EU2 Tsunami....strange...went back to the 23 to 24 settings...shows me again in EU2 Tsunami...but not regular EU2 in Valnet. Don't get it, but maybe that section is just down....

But I am not sure if he wants to write something of Vlad's explorations. The dinner is not that important. It is the meeting that is more important. I'm kind of having trouble with it.

1. As three of the four nations are already in an alliance, our alliance would have to be shadowy in nature until we really can be in alliance.
2. We found in reality that a RM between Bohemia and catholic nations can't happen. When Wallachia and Genoa tried, we believe the game crashed. Could have been a total one time happening.
3. When possible, even though not in "true" EU2 alliance, we can still act like we are, to an extent. Nalivayko and I proved this by carving up Austria between us.
after that, I draw an entire blank...help me out here, guys!

very nice, LL....I'm kind of confused...You mentioned Vlad and then a son at the end with the shadow man...Did you not mean Mircea? And then Vlad, and about Vlad having a child apparently with the serving girl....But still a great installment.
Well I assumed you would be doing the dinner scene, you should have enuf to work with, spcialy with Vlad. As for the meeting how about we retire to you study. The Moldavian tune should grab a few lines in itself. Dont have to get indepth with the alliance stuff, perhaps you can do it from Isabell's perspective, she can be asked to leave when the discussion gets 'important' leaving stuff for the other writers to play with, having reactions and such before they go to bed.
No not Mircea, Vlad Draculs son, Dracula, refer to the sentance "when he arrives to this world". Sorry might have gone a bit over board with the foreshadowing.

Not sure about the next test...Anibal is still having problems...Without him we can't start the game. I wrote the dinner scene and now we are all in the study...I thought each one might want to have a go at expressing their thoughts after the revelations that I gave all of you...
People, my head is almost blowing up because of my troubles. I get too nervous easily when think on it, because the play is being delayed by me. I want to apologyse. You can't imagine how am I willing for our playing start!

Well, just received another answer from the proxy's developer. Something like this: "You don't need any special configurations for doing what you want to. Just keep the client software running background and good luck."
