They start with almost no money, low support limit, small army of most infantry, no navy... and the Pope most always DoW Naples in 1420! But I have already figured out how to win as Naples. It's not that difficult, it's more like a gambit when you play chess. You give up some initial security, or good position or situation, in order to take an advantage of having some breathing room at start.
But... let's see when we play it!
