No, they were "inherited" in 1590 (Henri de Navarre becomes king of France).

Yes that is always sad, I had a 9 prov Khaketi in my alliance once (with my help), but Russia too diploannexed every thing around (except me).

I think diploannexing is just to easy (AI and human).
