I've enjoyed the AAR, thanks for sticking with it.

It looks like you're headed for a massive confrontation with the HRE. I think enabling SI might detract from this because the Aztecs would distract the Germans from focusing on the ERE.

Hey all, sorry ive been away for so long, real life conquers all. This AAR has been a labor of love for me, but i now find it almost impossible to run the game while i have it reverted to the proper patch. Im wondering if anyone has found a way to update a pre 2.1 save to a later version of the game, obviously not including India. If not, then if someone can tell me how to create a separate copy of a pre 2.1 CK2 so i can finally finish this thing that would also be great.

Nice to see you back. Anyways, I recommend you ask around in the CK2 mod forum as they'll likely have more experience.

if you were to use something like Clausewitz Scenario Editor you might be able to load up your old save in that and save as a ROI game. Just do whateve you want with India. Maybe a unified and powerful India to challenge you?

Never actually used it myself. Only saw a video somewhere. Maybe google or youtube a tutorial? Sorry I can't be more help.

I MAY be able to poke around with it a little manually. I obviously can't make any guarantees though, or even say their a good chance.

Thanks to the invaluable assistance of fellow Paradoxian MichaelM and his save-game editor, im am pleased to announce that this AAR has been updated to the latest CK2 patch!!! I never thought this day would come, and im excited to play with the new mechanics. I had to spend a lot of time fixing up India, as the game filled the empty provinces by giving them to a random Muslim count on the edge of Persia. The empty counties were also made Norse and Catholic for some reason, but i spent an hour creating proper Indian rulers for all the kingdom titles. By game end they should convert most of it, and i can edit the rest if i decide to export to EU4

I also had to cheat to get all my vassal kings/ dukes to turn into viceroaylites, and to change the laws to match the old crown laws i had before. for some reason vice royal dukes don't like to vote for kids for Emperor, so i changed back to primo for now.
Here are some screens of the new map, after i cleaned it all up. hope to have a new chapter out some time this week, work permitting
