I could not find anything directly related to my inquiry, so don't chew on my bum if this has been asked before! And, actually, don't chew on my bum, uh, ever.
Aaaaaanyway, I recently started up a game as the Duke of Trebizond. To my everlasting delight, I learned that there was a formable Kingdom of Trebizond! Yippee!
Upon checking the base requirements, they seem quite easy - just own two duchies! I'm already half-way there. Securing the duchy to my immediate left (the name escapes me - I believe it starts with an "A"?), I return to the Kingdom title...only to find that the next condition is NEVER. No, really. That is what it says. The remaining requirement to form the Kingdom of Trebizond is NEVER. It has a big red "X" next to it because, apparently, I have yet to NEVER. Not even once.
Wut?
Normally, unformable titular kingdoms simply say that they "cannot be created under normal circumstances," or what have you. What is this sorcery, and, more importantly, where is my crown?!
NOTE: I do not have the LoR DLC. Does that cause any issues?
