So this is something that's been bothering me for quite some time.. how utterly unenthusiastic a realm, and it's leader is, about what should be the grand event that is a coronation ceremony... or for that matter the utter lack of it and jubilees.
Yes while Europe of this time was poor and uneducated.. they still much like today enjoyed a good party so it's actually a shock to me that there isn't some kind of intrigue option like with tournaments to celebrate the ascension of a new king/emporer. I don't know about you but if i was prince of Britannia and had to claw my way up through the line of succession with my maritous deeds, general sense of honor, and willingness to slowly murder each of my brothers to their face.. honorably of course, Just to work my way through the peerage and the long list of succession then i'd want to have myself a grand ole party to celebrate the divine providence that made the old coot kick the bucket moments after my last elder brother still warm and bleeding corpse was thrown over the ramparts.
In all seriousness though I do believe an optional coronation that could take place within the first three months of rule would be a nice feature. Especially if it either helped me temporarily either convince the vassals of my legitimacy or instead undermine my authority causing a boost to faction support. With that said I understand if this idea meets skepticism as it would alter the game dynamics.
I've thought up a many of scenarios where such grand celebrations could be held but I've decided to only list a brief list:
1. Upon the foundation of a first kingdom rank title, <a successful ceremony would help ease tensions with vassals with raised levies and a bad ceremony would sow seeds for an accelerated revolt>
2. Inheritance of a new primary kingdom/empire title <would work only for the first title at that rank, offers limited revenue and stability boost or causes chaos if vassals offended>
3. upon the tenth, twentieth, ectect year of rule of primary title, <limited economic boon but chance of alienating citizens and vassals under non dejure lands>
of course all of these options will only be avalible for 3 months, would be put together like a feast and be called off in times of war, and finaly cancled if the ruler dies beforehand. They should also be somewhat expensive and have the cost grow with realm size
