The kind of battles I like and the kind that doesn't make sense

I guess, in the second example, low vs high morale and a few (~13) of ST (horse archers) made all the difference. It was a battle between peasant rebels and local raised levies in the besieged county. I thought that >3:1 ratio will be enough to deal with some peasants, but apparently it wasn't.

Yes. Now I know that it's a bad idea.

Yeah, I finally had to learn that lesson too. LOL

It works fine when they are my levies though, and dropping 30k on raiders by just running out the castle gates is hilarious in my mind. Doubly so if it's one of my commanders who decided to go claim his place in the world, since then I drag him back to court and put him back to work.
