Am I the only one who has his monarch hit a certain age, decide he doesn't need more kids, and then just marries every rich 65+ year old woman he can?

My last King must have had six or seven rich old wives. Some would last a month or two. Each was worth a few hundred gold (which beats 10 prestige at that age). I seldom get turned down either, since it's not like there are Kings beating down the doors for these fine ladies.

Plus, gold is all inheritable.

Why limit yourself to the monarch?

Yup, the O'Briens of Ireland are famous for it. My last monarch had, what, 14 wives all in all? His brothers weren't quite as ambitious, they only had some 8 wives each... it gets boring after a while though.

Hmm, maybe it's an Irish thing. I'm playing the O'Briens in Ireland as well. They're the only (possible) relatives I can find so far. I'd tried the Duchy of Ulster but got beat up by the Duke of Meath (oh, and married a 36 year old and died childless, doh). So I tried Meath the second time.
