I dont think theres gonna be a mercenary rework. They never mentioned it and I dont see how the current one is incompatible with the new system so I dont know why people keep bringing it up. The mercenary system works just fine. It just needs tweaking and rebalancing and untie it to the local pop numbers so we dont get ridiculous numbers that make them impossible to hire or to use without attrition killing it. But other than that, I dont know why it would need a complete overhaul. It works fine as it is. I don't know. YOu can polish it of course but that's it.

So yeah I dont think there is going to be one so stop hopinh it. Maybe they will mention some changes in a broader dev diary but nothing else.

This week tweets were about AI behavior, government decisions gated through inventions, maps, improvements on Republics elections, Roman levies, a ghost baby and battles.

What havent you seen? They have done all they said they would when Arheo outlined what the patch would bring, and already some extra stuff. It was due for Autumn. I dont think theres any more major reworks, so no point in dragging it forever.

I wouldn't say it's a cult. Some people simply like a few pieces of acidic and sweet pineapple on their pizza, the same way that people eat sweet melon and jamon serrano. These pineapple pizza eaters don't proselytise about it. What I do notice, however, is the disproportionate disgust voiced by the pineapple pizza eater haters, as if it were some moral failing holding society back from greatness.
