Iron HeAARt Voting Thread

ironheaart2008.jpg

Finally, my fellow HOI forumites, the day has come; the day when we get to vote on the winner of the first winner of the Iron HeAARt for 2008. During the past weeks, the elegible candidates have battled it out in the nomination thread, and the four nominees with most nominations (many were tied for fifth) were;

The Game (a German mod-34 AAR) by Blue Emu

This is SpAARta! by Le Ran

Legacy of Rome: A Byzantine AAR by Mr Hearts

Deutsches Reich - an AAR of German empire in the First World war by Jushu

Please place your vote in the poll. The winner will be the AAR with most votes on August 4th!

And it's neck to neck between This is SpAARta! and The Game!

Come on people, it's voting time!

Cast my vote. :) This is going to be closer than I thought.

And while I'm at it, Yogi, be sure you subscribe to this thread. I'm putting all completed AARs in that thread at a post near the bottom. 2005 is done and I'm nearly finished with 2006. Bear in mind that other 2005 AARs may pop up later but any that've been resurrected will surely be remembered by other members when its time for nominations.

You have quadrupled your vote now, Jushu. And in the front of the race, Blue Emu pulls away, leaving Le Ran nipping at his heels...

Come on! Vote! For Great Justice!

Only one more day to vote for the Iron HeAARt for 2008! Get them in before it's too late. :D

Lesser of two evils! Lesser of two evils!
i'm still cheering.

gotta say, the Iron Heart is like the oscar. I was cheering for Benjamin Button the whole time long, but the miserable Pakis won:)
those for whom i cheer always lose:D

The poll is closed, and the winner is...

BLUE EMU!

Well done, Sir, and congratulations! Feel free to link to the Iron HeAARt image in your winning AAR.

Now, step forward for your victory speech!

Now, step forward for your victory speech!
*ahem*

I'd like to than all the little people...

Seriously, though... I would likely have abandoned the AAR quite early on, if I hadn't gotten such an encouraging response from the AAR-land readers.

You guys were great, and I'm already planning a HOI-3 sequel.

Congrats blue emu! That was a run away win if I have ever seen one. Great job and especially congrats for winning the very 1st Iron HeAARt! :)

And congratulations to all of the nominees! I'm thankful for all of you as well as for Yogi and Brandenburg III for helping out in this contest. Especially The Yogi. Without him, this doesn't exist. HoI2 went a loooong time without a yearly award. It was The Yogi that made that possible and he did a huge amount of leg work to make that so. ::big applause!!:: :D
