Alright, the black's people revolt in Africa is ready. I tested it and it work well. I made sure a lot of the revolts happened in the beachheads of Africa to block reinforcements for some time and make the situation more challenging for the player. This also gives more time to the revolters to take more land and and declare the independance of Congo.

The Indonesian/Philipenese revolts will be ready in a while.

By the way, I tested the Slav Question events and they worked great.

Alright, all the events requested are done. They need a lot of testing tough.

First the Treat Better the Natives event. About a month or so after a Native Uprising event has happened, the following event will fire. Germany can choose if to treat better the Congo or do atrocities. The Atrocities will increase the revolt risk in Congo and trigger the Native Uprising event again, while choosing 'respect' will lower the revolt risk and lead to another event.

I tried to bite my tongue (typing fingers) and let this go, and probably all I succeed in doing is starting a flameware, but here goes . . .

I am not sure why you find Uzickibombarder's concept so offensive. His is scarcely the first mod, or Alt-History to involve the idea of a succesful Sea Lion/Seelowe. I have read at least two novels on this subject. Numerous historians from William Shirer, to Martin Gilbert, an indeed Churchill himself have remarked on how close things were in the summer of 1940.

If Goering had not switched targets twice during the Battle of Britain, its possible that the Luftwaffe might have been able to cripple Fighter Command and gain air superiority over the Channel and Southern England. If that had happened the Germans could in all probability have been able to neutralize the Royal Navy long enough (reference what happened to the Prince of Wales and Repulse later in the war) to fling several divisions across the Channel. There were very few properly equipped troops in England prepared for invasion defence. Churchill sure was worried. I have also read Lord Alanbrooke's memoirs and he was very pessimistic about British chances to repel an invasion IF it did indeed disembark.

And in any case, we're talking about a game, that people play for fun. Even a game as multifaceted and detailed gets stale after a while so people create endless mods to play with What Might Have Been.

No one gains anything when people get hostile. If his mod is not to your taste, all you have to do is browse and you can find dozens of others. Whether you agree with his viewpoint or not, he has put a tremendous amount of effort into his work. Being hypercritical and sarcastic is good for no one.

Please, try not to take offense at this, my words here were indefense of U-B, and not an attack on you.

I wasnt offended. Lol.

I simply stated I like Alt-History to be plausible and this premise simply isnt plausible as the War Exhausted Allies would have wanted peace had the SU been defeated by the Axis; and the Axis woulda wanted peace cos Hitler wanted the UK as an ally not an enemy.

This mod starts on the Premise that Operation Barbarossa was successful and the SU was shatterred; the Commitern broken.
The means that Operation Sealion would have already been a failure and the German Airforce and Navy humiliated by the Royal Navy and RAF - as such as I pointed out that Germany and the UK both would have been amenable to peace.

Also had the SU been defeated in short order the USA most certainly would have sent troops, ships, and aeroplanes to the UK in order to defend it from possible invasion.
Say what you will the was ZERO chance of the US allowing a German invasion of the UK home islands - it just would not have happened.

Hence my requests.

I was not flaming nor was i being sarcastic.
I was being genuine in my concern.

But it is his mod to do with as he wishes of course; I was merely pointed out a rather sizeable hole in his premise.
I appreciate your point of view; I ask that you appreciate mine.

I guess I missed the part about Sea Lion failing first then a successful Barbarossa. But for the sake of argument, say that that happened. Hitler would probably have made a peace appeal to the UK similar to the one he made after France fell, Churchill would certainly have turned it down . . . but what if FDR could not overcome isolationist sentiment? or if he lost the election in 32, 36 or 40?

With no front in the East to worry about, don't you think that Germany could have mobilized for a successful cross Channel invasion?

As with any Alt History, you have to accept some big If A - Then B possibilities. And in any case whether or not it could have happened in reality, the premise does make for an interesting game :)

Setting this aside, what mods have you found good and playable?

To Užičkibombarder: I downloaded the mod to do more testing with the events. And there's a BIG problem. The events don't fire. I type the event ID and pressed enter, but the event doesn't even appear. This is weird because the events worked GREAT for the un-modded version. I don't have a clue for why this happens. When the next version is available I'll try again. Maybe it has something to do with the errors in the loading screen.

I guess the error must be for a conflict of overlapping provinces in those .INC files you mentioned in the readme. I'll take a look at the files and see if I can find the error.

By the way, do you want me to write some country descriptions for the scenario selection screen?

EDIT: Wait a Minute! I think I found out why the events don't show up! In the tie.eug file, the lines telling the game where to look for the events folder are missing. They should be something like this.

EDIT (again): I added the line to the bottom of the tie.eug file and the events now work perfectly! VICTORY!

I am not sure why you find Uzickibombarder's concept so offensive. His is scarcely the first mod, or Alt-History to involve the idea of a succesful Sea Lion/Seelowe. I have read at least two novels on this subject. Numerous historians from William Shirer, to Martin Gilbert, an indeed Churchill himself have remarked on how close things were in the summer of 1940.

If Goering had not switched targets twice during the Battle of Britain, its possible that the Luftwaffe might have been able to cripple Fighter Command and gain air superiority over the Channel and Southern England. If that had happened the Germans could in all probability have been able to neutralize the Royal Navy long enough (reference what happened to the Prince of Wales and Repulse later in the war) to fling several divisions across the Channel. There were very few properly equipped troops in England prepared for invasion defence. Churchill sure was worried. I have also read Lord Alanbrooke's memoirs and he was very pessimistic about British chances to repel an invasion IF it did indeed disembark.

And in any case, we're talking about a game, that people play for fun. Even a game as multifaceted and detailed gets stale after a while so people create endless mods to play with What Might Have Been.

No one gains anything when people get hostile. If his mod is not to your taste, all you have to do is browse and you can find dozens of others. Whether you agree with his viewpoint or not, he has put a tremendous amount of effort into his work. Being hypercritical and sarcastic is good for no one.

Please, try not to take offense at this, my words here were indefense of U-B, and not an attack on you.

EDIT: Wait a Minute! I think I found out why the events don't show up! In the tie.eug file, the lines telling the game where to look for the events folder are missing. They should be something like this.

EDIT (again): I added the line to the bottom of the tie.eug file and the events now work perfectly! VICTORY!

The first version was released when you did not make those events, but in next version it will be included. and yes about country descriptions but wait for a next version (it will be very soon).

General Roca, the people that live in the Phillipines are called Filipinos by the way. I'm suprised you didn't make a French resistance event or something because they did the most damage. It could occur all over from Germany Westward to France. Here's what could happen :



French Uprising somewhere in the Empire

The French resistance, groups of people trying to put an end to Hitler, Nazis and National Socialism have launched an attack on vital positions within our Reich. We have send the whole 4.SS Polizei-Panzergrenadier Division on patrols in little groups all around where these partisan events mainly occur with support of the Gestapo but we can't hunt down all of these people. Due to this indecisiveness they now look up to you, the Führer to decide.


1.) Hunt down the Frenchmen (-200 Supp. -50 oil for the operation)
leads to next event

2.) Forget about the issue (4 dissent)

3.) Send out more patrols (-1000 supp., -150 oil for the unit)

Whatever one you pick, there will be a revolt in random places.


Part 2 - Hunt down the Frenchmen

1.) Execute any French looking person who looks suspicious. (manp. -2)

2.) Prison any armed Frenchman (diss. -2, manp. -1)

3.) Forget about it (diss. 5)

Walter Model: I was thinking about doing something like that, but it has to be an event for Vichy not Germany.

And the problem is that I can't make revolts happen in random places.

The command is type = revolt which = [province ID] and it needs an specific number to work, -1 or 0 don't work.

But yes I will add that event, it looks good and shouldn't be hard to write. Please give me more ideas.

What about Poland, considering they did an uprising in WARSAW twice, I think one was exactly when Bagration began or something. Here could be the events :

Polish Uprising

Ever since Germany has occupied Poland they have been absolutely cruel, especially to Jews. Now the Polish have had enough and have now launched an uprising, the main forces of their uprisers in Warsaw. They don't want their capital under our control but we took them out of the world map fair and square! Mein Führer, to prevent the situation from getting out of hand we have come to see what you have to say.

1.) Send the SS over to deal with the Poles (-100 manp. -50 oil, -1000 supplies) LEADS to new event

2.) Send the Polizei (Police) and Wehrmacht to deal with the situation (-75 manp. -40 oil, -800 supp.) NEW EVENT

3.) Talk the Poles into calming down (leads to new event)


SS sent to deal with the Poles

The SS forces sent have dealt with the Poles, albeit in a very cruel way and have caused nations to move slightly away from your ideology, even your allies are suprised.
(Relation with 10 nations reduced by 15)


Wehrmacht/Polizei sent to deal with the situation

We have sent the Armed Forces to deal with the Poles, but not in such a cruel way. They have, like the SS killed and wounded the ones that refused to surrender, while the rest were put back into their houses but now there is more guards around.


Führer has talks with the leader of the uprising forces

You have decided to talk to the Polish leaders of the partisans. Despite your efforts to get the leader to seize the partisan attacks, it was failed. He demands slight self government within Poland.

A.) Fair enough! (Grant independence to Poland, they are made a Puppet state, you have military control, military access, they only receive half the provinces they should normally have and they do not have Königsberg, Elbling, Danzig, Stettin, Küstrin, Oppeln or Breslau.

B.) Never! He will just execute your people! (Bell. 5.0%)
