Fantasy, most likely some historical. Most of the scenario will be in the future, so we must have some fantasy ones.

From 1991 and on. We already have people who works with Fantasy ones. Just go ahead.
The question of leaders is still up in the air, some people want fantasy leaders with names and others want an immortal anonymous one whose skills are changed by random events made more/less common by DIP settings and government types. Fantasy leaders would be alright for one game (if we randomly chose stats), but after that problems might arise over how the same nation always rises or falls because of where we through the dart. For the same reason of randomness I could see how having names at all could anger people, but that is not such a big deal.
Do you think that Colin Powell should be a leader for the USA and do you think Mullah Mohammed Omar should be a leader/monarch for Afghanistan(starting 1995) even though most governments didn't recgonize the taliban as the government?

In beta5 Afganistan is split up into the Taliban with the PUR tag and the Northern Alliance, with the ROY tag.

Colin Powell should start out when the scenerio begins, other than that there shouldn't really be any American leaders up until the Third World War, maybe one good one and some incompitant ones, since America will be weak and feabile(SP?). No really good ones till the revolution and WW4. Yes... the great Kyran will bring the lambs to power once more...

I don't think the Taliban militia was formed until like 1993 or so, i'll have to check back on that, so 1991 we would see a united Afghanistan.
Colin Powell was the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff not a field general. He should be included only in events. Putting Colin Powell in MDS would be like putting George Marshall in HOI. The field commander of the American forces in the Persian Gulf was Norman Shwarzkopf (not sure about the spelling but I'll check back with that).
