The Indians Rise
I will be taking you through the history of the Iroquius tribe.
I decided to use the mod Terra Universalis (The only change is to the wasteland) They had been replaced by known tribes of that ERA.
Chapter 1 - Expanding my territories
Year of our Elder "Bear Paw" 1399 AD
Here is my starting position, Huron's to the North and Lenape to the South.
My first task was to keep the inflation down, while building an army.
My 1st mission was to get Lenape as an ally, but the mission is'nt what I'd hoped for, this would have caused a problem for me.
So I cancelled the mission and took the next one. Which was to gain prestige.
I'd put all my treasury into improving stability. While balancing the books and keeping the inflation at 0.00
My first policy change was towards Centralisation to prepare for westernision, when the europeans show up.
The tribe was not happy with my decision, luckly I'd raised my army to 3k, before the policy was changed.
My next task was to get some advisors to help me run the tribe.
My 1st Magistate went into Cultural Tradition, as all the advisors I wanted, would reduce the Cultural Tradition pot.
Here are the advisors I'd chosen.
- Master of the Mint ** -4 to inflation
- Sheriff * - National tax increase by 1%pm
- Statesman * - For a +3.00 to govement tech. (I'm aiming for Level 10 Goverment, so I can change to a Noble Republic)
When the revolt was taken care of, I'd noticed that Lenape were having their own problems with a revolt.
This gave me an opportunity, to attack Lenape, because their own army would had reduced morale.
This helped me gain an advantage and go to war with Lenape over a tribal fued. (no stability loss) I did however loose 1 stability, as we had good relations.
I was near to defeat, the troops morale nearly lost the battle. When my General "bear paw" gave a final charge (shock) to win by a very small margin.
That could have spelt disaster. However it went my way and I vasseled Lenape.
After the war I vassled Lenape.
I got my first events
One was the Huran's Insulting me, and the other events were to say, some of my advisors had been hired. Giving me more money for the pot.
The Huran's insult gave me a reason for war. Not just yet though. I'd need to build up my national manpower so I can hire more troops.
Huran's army was the same size as mine and Lenape combined. My army was 3K, Lenape was 3k. Huran was 6k
With the extra funding, I've obtained from the hired advisors, this would help me increase my army by another 3k giving me a total army pool of 6k, with the vassel of 3k the total being 9k. I could then go to war with the Hurans.
That's the end of Year 1399. I've done quite a bit in 3 months. More to come
Recap on the previous year
- Vasselled Lenape
- Kept the inflation @ 0.00
- Got much needed money for this years campain
